This is one of our favorite local restaurants! The food is consistently great, the ambiance is warm with a rustic elegance, service is professional and friendly, their wine list is fantastic and desserts are always worth the indulgence. We always have a great experience at Cafe Mahjaic, great spot for a date night or dinner with friends.

Let's face it! Most bakeries are average. And finding one in a remote location doesn't engender a lot of confidence. So coming across a truly terrific bakery was a huge revelation. The bakers and pastry chefs at Sierra Rizing definitely know what they're doing, and for people wanting a scone, croissant or something sweet along with a latte or any other coffee or tea, they are in for a major treat. We absolutely loved this spot, and the constant flow of satisfied customers, almost all of them locals, tell the tale. And their cakes are also to die for. What a great place!!

So I came here for the coffee, which as advertised is outstanding. I wasn't as impressed as others with their food - we only tried breakfast items over 2 days - but nothing that I thought was exceptional.

My spouse and I went out for lunch, and I ordered the Salmon Salad, with avocados, lime vinaigrette on the side, spinach, mushrooms, and a hot chocolate. Everything was delicious, tho they used to have a salad with candied walnuts, cranberries, blueberries and chicken, and that no longer is offered. My spouse had the Mango Free-range chicken Panini, which was terrific! The porter he ordered was expensive but good. I have not had a bad or only so-so meal here ever, and can definitely recommend it as a reliable tasty meal.

We shared a 2 pizza's (which is really just 4 rectangular slices each), a salad and some hummus. It was more than enough for 4 of us, and was fine. Nothing outstanding.
You order from the window in front, and it's brought to you at outside tables. Service was like the lunch, just okay. Didn't realize until after we left, that a chai tea that we ordered never came. Oh well. Perhaps we should have paid more attention....
This restaurant was recommended, so maybe the evening hours are better??

Ordered Chicken fajita w/o pico de gallo and cilantro rice. Plate came with pico de gallo which apparently at this restaurant has jalapeños in it. They also gave me extra blackbeans. Lots of red and green peppers, lacking in onions. Tasty. Also served a nice assortment of salsas and warm bean dip with their chips. Very attentive staff. Clean interesting facility. Right in downtown Placerville.

The fish and chips here is really good; so is the chocolate cake. I feel like whenever I go to the CC for dinner I always am more than satisfied with the meal. The bar is also a nice scene at night.

We stopped here for sandwiches and beer. Nice selection on tap. We had the local brew. My boys had lemonade (in a container, also from a local orchard). We shared a Turkey BLT, a salad and a Chicken Salad Sandwich. Also got the macaroni salad. The bread was nice - a soft sourdough. You order and then they bring it to you. Cash only!

This place is in the same lot as Hot Shot Imaging, who most likely took your rafting pictures. We looked at our photos and then decided to get some fro-yo in the 105F heat. It was very good. 8 flavors and lots of toppings. Nice, modern decor.

Had a great lunch in a wonderful setting while visiting Placerville. Had the clam chowder, chefs salad and both were delicious along with very attendant and pleasant wait staff. Highly recommend this place. The place was a warm and comfortable setting
