Great accommodation, food, service and value
Reviewed By uwehH3893YDStayed here twice now, October 2021 and February 2022. Bedrooms are large, clean and comfortable. Restaurant area is also large and the food is great with a selection of Chinese and Western meals. Outstanding views over the valley and some of the terraces. We loved walking around the quaint, lived in village where there are also some excellent restaurants. Truly peaceful. It's a great location for short walks both around and through the village, and across to neighbouring villages for the more adventurous. The terraces themselves were amazing both times we went. Best thing of all is the service from the owner/operators - just a wonderful and kind family who speak good English. We stayed for 3 nights on each occasion as it is such an enjoyable break from the busier parts of China.

Reviewed By MultiTaskeuseThe Li An Lodge was an amazing place, with by far the best location in town for viewing the rice terraces. Our host, Aaron, was extremely attentive and kind, guided us through the beautiful landscape, spoke very good English, played with our daughter and is even a very good cook! The wooden hotel has a cozy feel, and the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.

Reviewed By amitapan72We stayed two nights here and i wish had read all the reviews especially bad ones earlier. Though the views are nice there is nothing else to recommend. As another traveller wrote, Spring had disappeared ,either she does not exist or lives in a different place and communicates by email only. The rooms are very small and super noisy, once you return after hikes its difficult to relax as there is constant thumping of footsteps .Balconies are rudimentary. The place has many RATS , we didnt dare leave balcony doors open. The husband ,wife and mother who run the place are friendly and kid is cute but its unpleasant to see kids sprawled on the main lobhy/ dining area floor while eating . One feels as if one is intruding in someones house rather than staying in a hotel or inn. Food is average , one xan easily find better and more varied food in restaraunts in the village. Had I not planned already i would have booked only one night or done a day trip .

Cozy and Comfortable Stay!

The room was not made ready for us that the clothes hanger was seen on the curtain rail, although the pillows, comforters and bedspreads are on the beds, it was not laid ready, one of the beds comforter was not laid over the top bed sheet, room was clean, bed was clean and very comfortable, bathroom was clean with hot water, body wash was not refilled, we had to use shampoo from head to toe, no hair dryer, no kettle in the room, TV in the room is not working as it is for display only, landline and wifi was down. Although the owner Jimmy was not around, we managed to communicate with him through his uncle's and aunt's mobile. They are friendly and very helpful. Jimmy spoke English well. We ordered our meals from the menu. Except the room was without heater, everything was great!

Very relaxing visit
Reviewed By Vlad VQuite far from Longsheng, this hotel has about 20 rooms and that's why we felt very intimate. The dos facilities are actually two outdoors modest swimming pools, and the water comes from a local mountain spring. Our room was spacious with huge glass shower. There was a stunning views toward the mountain from any part of the room. The stuff was helpful but with no knowledge , so be ready to battle the Google translator Breakfast was excellent with kind service. Well worth the price. If you have time - spend some time hiking in the gorge. We enjoyed it a lot.

Excellent stay
Reviewed By Rhona SHad a lovely stay here. We had a large and comfortable room on the top floor overlooking the rice terraces. The family owning the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the food was very tasty. We had a tasting of the different wines, so we could decide which ones to buy. They arranged transfers from Guilan and to nearby rice terraces.

A very special place
Reviewed By Paul EJust so serene and picturesque. Its like having your own log cabin. The room was nicely different and the bathroom a little small, but you are way up in the mountains and it all feels just right. The staff here are wonderful and very helpful and it just has a really good feel about the place. A great place to base yourself in when doing the walks and exploring the rice fields. Take your camera. The views are awesome. Breakfast was basic but befitting the surroundings and the coffee will knock you over. Great place and would recommend to anyone.

Not just an incredible view
Reviewed By HeidiO460As I walked by this hotel I paused and the manager Sacha called out in English: “Where do you want to go?” I was finishing my 10+km hike from Ping’an village and was headed to the parking lot to find a car back to Ping’an. But what I really wanted was some fresh juice, a place to plug in my phone and I had to work out a way to get to my next destination: Yangshuo. What I received from Sacha was all that plus more. A wonderful conversation, a new friendship, a few tears as we shared openly with each other about life and two big hugs good-bye. She served me a great passion fruit juice, found me a driver to take me to Ping’an and the same driver gave me a great price to get me to Yangshuo. And I Wasn’t Even Staying Here As A Guest. She just served me out of her love for people. I didn’t even look at any of her rooms, but her view and hospitality were enough to make me want to return. I hope to lead a hiking tour through the rice terraces in the near future. And I would love to stay with Sacha at the Dragon Den’s Hotel.

The perfect guesthouse near Dazhai
Reviewed By sandrineh503Perched up high in the mountains, Rice View Villa is the perfect base to explore the Longji Rice Terraces. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The communal areas are well thought out. For those who don’t mind cold water, the pool is a welcome luxury in this part of the world! The guest house is 2.5 hour drive from Guilin and there are some wonderful hikes in the area. Cherry on the cake... the staff speak English!

Amazing Hotel overlooking the rice paddies. Awoke in the clouds
Reviewed By Rosalinda HLong Pin An was a fabulous surprise. After trekking down through the rice paddies and wandering the village we arrived to find 5 star accommodation. The Restaurant was clean and the food generous and freshly prepared. The rooms had all modern facilities- a/c and TV. Great beds and friendly villagers.
