We visited Mahesh Masoli dhaba 2 weeks ago. We were there for a Sunday group lunch. The host was extremely warm and friendly. In starters we tried Prawns, Surmai(Seer fish), Bombay duck and chicken, all the dishes were fantastic. All the preparations were from coastal Maharashtra(Konkan).The local fish called Jitada(Asian Sea Bass) need a special mention. You rarely get to eat this in a restaurant. It was a super awesome fishy delight!In lunch, we tried Crab Masala, Prawns masala,Bhakari(Roti made of rice) and steamed rice. Every menu was delicious and tasted like a home food.What I liked the most is, the restaurant uses home made spices(masale) for different fishes,depending upon the type of fish. So you never feel like you are eating in a restaurant. It was a mouth watering meal along with sol Kadhi(made up of Kokum and coconut milk).The veg food items were also worth trying.A must visit restaurant with good service and its location is also easily approachable! Rates are reasonable looking at the freshness and quality of seafood.So why are you waiting?Go! get fishy.

The Famous Mapro Garden of Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani has now opened a New Mapro Garden in Lonavala as well. Although this is much smaller than their Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani or Wai Mapro Garden, they have Ample Parking, a Retail Area where you can sample & buy most Mapro Products, a Khakra Factory & a Restaurant which offers a range of Pure Veg Snacks & Pizzas along with Soft Drinks, Mocktails & Ice Cream, all of which are very good. It is a fairly large area and has Clean Toilets as well, which is good. There is a play area for children, a Lotus Pond and a Small Artificial Waterfall where you can click some good pictures.
