The structure is composed of 3 spacious and bright rooms furnished with elegance and charm: ITACA (Suite), ULISSE (Superior) and PENELOPE (Standard). The facilities are a perfect mix of design, art and tradition and create a very warm atmosphere. The summer garden is the ideal environment to relax and breakfast, to listen good music, read a newspaper and/or to have a work meeting. The privileged position (250 meters from the sea), the excellent service, the food of high quality and the numerous services make it one of the best in Calabria.

Reviewed By peri&riniWe stayed at this charming B&B for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, also thanks to the great hospitality of the hosts. The B&B is within easy walking distance from the center of Locri and from the sea. Parking is on the street, but is free and it was easy to find a good parking spot right outside the B&B. Locri itself is also close to the beautiful hill town of Gerace. The room was very spacious and clean, and well heated. The bathroom was not so large, but of adequate size and also very clean. Due to the winter weather we did not use the terrace or garden, but that outdoor area sure looked very nice too. The best thing about this B&B was the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts, which was also exemplified in the wonderful breakfast with all fresh and local or even home-made products. The fresh orange juice made from oranges from their own land was simply delicious. We also tried a restaurant recommended by the B&B, called Winter Cactus (the summer one is presumably on the waterfront), which was a very good dinner experience. We would definitely stay here again when returning to the area.

Reviewed By Pat BLe muse is a warm, friendly B&B in the centre of Locri. The owner Guildo is a kindly individual. He has a passionate interest in the culture and history of Calabria, which he is only too happy to share and chat about, over the generous breakfast of breads, a variety of jams and a selection of lemon and orange tarts. Le Muse has an old world charm to it. The high ceiling rooms are comfortable and spacious. The breakfast room overlooks Piazza Umberto, a lovely little park with a fountain, where you can sit, relax, read a book and listen to the birds in the trees overhead. the beach is only a four minute walk away. The people of Locri are friendly and helpful. There are a nice selection of restaurants and cafe's to choose from, and prices are very reasonable. Locri is not overly touristy. It would be a good base for a few days, from which to explore the region. The old mountaintop village of Gerace with its cathedral and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside is well worth a visit. It sits on the edge of Aspromonte National Park. Sicily is only about an hour and a half drive from Locri. We would highly recommend Le Muse as a very comfortable place to stay.

The furniture is rather old-fashioned and some is beginning to need a little t.l.c., but the bed was comfortable although a little short for me (I'm 6' 3"). Good aircon. Bath with only a hand-held shower attachment and no shower curtain. Satellite tv has 1,000 channels but none in English. No hairdryer. No safe. Difficult to connect with Wi-Fi. Not so easy to find as it is on a corner of Via Don Vittorio, and the entrance and signage are on the side street, invisible unless you approach from the sea side of the town. Helpful owner/manager, but the place is locked when he is not there, so don't arrive without advance warning. No lift and many stairs but he'll carry your bags up.

A nice welcome for our first B & B
Reviewed By elisabeth pThe bathroom was ultra modern and great care has been taken in decorating the bedroom. Guisy was very friendly and willing to help with travel hints. An easy walk to the beautiful beach but be aware that the umbrellas and sunloungers have been booked for the season. The included breakfast was Italian style - coffee and pastry at the local cafe across the street, people watching. I hadn't noticed it was a B & B and this was our first experience of sharing a house with others. Stairs to property so beware of heavy luggage. Bathroom was exclusive but outside the bedroom. Parking is in the train station carpark nearby.

We ended up spending some of our dinners with our hosts, I cant stress enough how great they were. Highly recommended place to stay. The perfect cultural experience!
