Reviewed By SuepavordThis is a wonderful little hotel, with beautiful views, delicious breakfast on the terrace and very kind owners. They gave us two large jars of delicious home made olives and wouldn't accept any money for them.

Road trip - 1st night stopover
Reviewed By Nigel LThis was the first night stay of a 10 day road trip, We landed late in Athens, and had to be in Meteora (a 4hr drive up north) the following lunch time. So we booked the Hotel Florakis which would eat into about an hour and a half of the 4hr journey, leaving us more time the following morning for a leisurely breakfast and time to take a short break en route. We arrived at the hotel close to midnight - the owner had taped a very clear note in very respectable English to the door telling us what to do. The owner's father came down and let us in, and showed us to our rooms without any formalities. He didn't speak any English but he was extremely friendly and we all managed to make ourselves understood. There is no lift. We were on the second floor so we had to shlepp our luggage ourselves. This is not a hotel for people with stair issues. The room was nice and clean, with a big bed and a mini fridge. The decor is very old-fashioned and looks a bit tired, but is fine. We had a sea view but not really any time to sit out on the small balcony to enjoy it. I have one small problem and one complaint. The problem is that the toilet seat was wobbly - and I don't like wobbly toilet seats. My complaint is that the shower stall was tiny. No room to bend down. There was also no shelf in the shower stall to put soap/shampoo etc on, so you had to use the main bathroom sink which was situated right next to the shower. This meant that whenever you wanted more soap or shampoo you had to turn the water off, open the shower stall door, get the soap, close the door, turn the water back on and carry on --- and then start the whole procedure all over again if needs be. A bit of a palaver !! Breakfast was very nice - taken on the patio next to the hotel in very pleasant surroundings. The owner cooked for us - she was extremely nice with excellent English and went out of her way to satisfy our special requests. The price was extremely good value for a 3 star hotel. I don't know what else there is to do in the area as we were just passing through, but I would definitely recommend this place for a night or so.

Edelweiss Hotel is a 2 star hotel complex consisted of the Main Building where you can find at the basement the airconditioned restaurant and the cafe-bar, and at the 1st floor 13 spacious rooms. Spread around the garden there are 39 Bungalows. Edelweiss Hotel offers parking area, mini soccer pitch, kids playground, and the rooms are airconditioned, with TV set, and refrigerator.

I could call this hoter normal, but the beach is really terrible
Reviewed By AgnishkaFood is simple, but we had dinner and breakfast included, so it was more than enough. But nothing very special. If you want to eat really tasty go to Allegro restaurant 5 minutes walk from hotel. Prices there are also very good. Staff in hotel is quite helpful, although, they don't speak english very well. Conditioning system is not working (thanks God it was May). They are cleaning rooms daily and changing towels twice a week. Beach is really horrible. I even found a dead cat close by hotel. Hotel has a pool in it's territory, but this is a private pool, so if you want to lie near the pool you have to order something from the bar. Wifi works only near the lobby.

The accommodation Evoikos Hotel was established in 2004 by the Makri family on the beach of Livanates Fthiotida. It is a lovely little hotel right on the beach . The hotel consists of nine (9) wonderful modern rooms with two and three beds and all have sea view , view of the garden and the street below.Facilities include a large green garden that offers wonderful relaxing hours throughout the day in the café , the restaurant and the lounge patio. We can also host social events and wedding receptions. In our restaurant you will taste traditional Greek cuisine with all the dishes to our own preparation. All services have a family and friendly character. In the surrounding area the visitor will find interesting suggestions for activities such as biking , hiking ( mountain and seaside ) , bathing in hot springs and daily trips to the famous Leichadonisia (small islands) and small wonderful monasteries . Located just 147 km from Athens and only 4km away from highway Athens-Thessaloniki, the Evoikos Hotel is the perfect nearby destination for all seasons.

Reviewed By TripThinkerI have visited this place a few times already for bird hunting purposes. This is a family business, and the stuff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and breakfast is good enough. You will easily find a room there off-season (autumn-winter), but I guess that won't be so easy during summer as they are located right in front of the beach. This is a 3-star accommodation so don't expect anything fancy building-structure-wise, but don't let that demotivate you.
