SUPER HELPFUL AND KIND
Reviewed By Georgios AI was neither a visitor nor a holiday planner to Tilos and Castellania Hotel. But I called two months in advance Ismini and Petros and asked for a favour from them in order to ''organise'' a pleasant surprise for two of my friends, who were about to travel from the UK and at Castellania. Ismini was very kind and helpful from the outset. She immediately accepted to organise my wish and kept it secret until the last moment. My friend was amazed and shocked by the gift that was ''waiting'' for them in the room! I had this idea but wouldn't be able to make it true without Ismini and Petros help. This is pure ''hospitality from the heart!'' My thanks and gratefulness to them, also, for the gift the sent me to the UK, with the returning friends.

Beautiful family run hotel, minutes from beach on quiet Tilos
Reviewed By rosielaraaliceGeorge Apartments is a very special place... Built by Grandfather George, who was born on Tilos, and run by his son Marcos. The hotel is a simple yet beautiful building, with traditional mosaic central courtyard and lovely hand-made wooden shutters in beautiful tones of blue - all the work of George. The ground floor terrace is shaded by a canopy of bougainvillea and stephanotis, the first first floor rooms have shaded balconies looking out over these flowers to the sea at the bottom of the hill. The apartments are perhaps two minutes walk down hill to the town beach, past a square of tavernas & mini market. There is a baker a block away. The town beach is pebbly and the water is wonderfully clear, boarding the beach are tamarisk trees and a wooden walkway of two kilometers around the bay, at one end of the walkway is the small harbour. On the other side of this walkway are the various B&Bs, hotels & excellent tavernas. And that is Tilos main town - small, laid back, delightfully old fashioned, There are other beaches on the island, some are even sandy, but we found the town beach charming and didn't bother looking elsewhere. Our room at George Apartments was on the first floor, so we had a small balcony with table and chairs, perfect for evening drinks and a shady lunch spot. The room had a large wardrobe, desk and chair, air conditioning, bathroom and small kitchenette - everything we could need. George and his wife are wonderful hosts, extremely helpful, everything from driving us up to the exquisite monastery of Pandeleimonas to waking in the middle of the night to deliver our bags to the 4am ferry... He would not take no for an answer. This really is a special place, I recommend it 101%.

Reviewed By Q2365UKcamillaaWe arrived exhausted after a long year of work and Maria the kind young owner of Antoniadi Marina Rooms came to pick us up at the port of Tilos. Charming Maria was so accommodating helping us in every way that she could. Her delicious home made cakes at breakfast on her terrace overlooking the sea were idillic. She even baked a cake for my husbands birthday which was such a special surprise!. We realise that so many clients come back to Tilos year after year and come back to this corner of paradise. Tilos is not an island for everybody. There are no discotheques and night life but if you enjoy trekking/walking in the nature where you sunbathe amongst peacocks and goats on the beach, it’s your place. Livadia has sun beds but we decided that Tilos has hidden treasures where you can be on a beach alone. The inhabitants are as discreet as the island. One has to enter into their modus vivendi and all the stress disappears as you are pervaded by the silence and beauty of Antoniadi Marina Rooms and Tilos. We realised how lucky we were. We had chosen the perfect location to unwind and just sit on our balcony listening to the sea looking across the bay where the lights reflect on the sea. Maria’s cat Sara always kept us company on our doormat and really enjoyed my husbands pasta and from then onwards became our little shadow. We miss her! I wish to thank Maria from ANTONIADI MARINA ROOMS for all her hard work keeping the rooms spotless, for her big kind heart and the atmosphere created by the candles in the evening outside as you approach the entrance. There is so much I could write We are coming back next year, working hard but looking forward to seeing you again. A special mention to Maria from the pharmacy, Maria Founta and Vassilli from Taverna Omonoia who made our stay feel as if we were at home. Tilos and Maria see you soon. We treasure these memories in our hearts and the thought of coming back next year is what will keep us going in our year of hard work to come. See you soon.

Reviewed By bob3747A stylish studio, well equipped with large terraces for rooms 4,5,6 and great views over the harbour. This was the best studio stayed in - and done over 100 in last 40 years. Michalis collects from harbour as steps up v irregular and refused my offer of payment when I burnt kettle cord. Studio kept immaculately clean by Albanian guy - apparently been there for number of years. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

Amazing views
Reviewed By Perek24Stayed here for 2 weeks, Marina picked us up at the port and took us to our room, the view from the balcony was amazing, you could see the whole town, the port and all the beaches along the coast. Nice Greek style room with all we needed, even a fan which we prefer to air con as we find it very drying. The maid service was above the call of duty keeping everything clean and tidy. Bear in mind to get that view we had 97 steps to get out of the studio onto the path at the bottom and probably another 20 to get to the square, yet there is a way using 2 slight slopes which take a little longer but some days proved useful. My wife says it's good for my thighs. The question is would we go back YES, in fact we are thinking about 3 weeks in April and May.

Reviewed By slesleyHad a three week stay at the Irini Hotel with Nikos, Maria and family. The hotel is beautiful, rooms perfect, lovely position for main square and tavernas, we can’t wait to return. It has a swimming pool and guests staying here can use the facilities at their other hotel, the Ilidi Rock which is also amazing. Breakfast is included and is lovely. We can’t thank this lovely family enough for their hospitality.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By Ivor M MThis is a great place to stay to chill and relax right on the beach but close to the hotel centre of the village. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. It is definitely worth paying more for a sea view room. The kitchen facilities (fridge , kettle, crockery and cutlery) are quite basic but provide the option of breakfast/lunch in the room. Our ferry left late in the day and as the room wasn’t booked we were allowed to keep it at no extra charge which was much appreciated. The owner was welcoming,friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and stay there again.

They might be a little out of Livadia (only 4 minute drive), but the inclusive car gives you the freedom to explore...and the peace and tranquility whenever you want it. Loads of help from the Tilos Travel Office as usual....
