A very comfortable lodge, with the 9 light wood rooms, from which you can arrange excursions in the villages dong around. If need be, the welcome can be done in French, and the website has from some information in the language of Molière. The owners have another hotel in the village of Shuitouzhai, 55 km from Guiyang, in country buyi.

On the top floor under the roof with mice or rats running and scratching right over our heads (there are mouse droppings in the room.) Our room is tiny, no real bathroom, bad lighting etc etc... I'll skip all the details but they gave us low-cost rooms. Maybe they think we deserve rooms like that? We are low-cost customers for them ? Because of course they know room 408. They rent it knowingly. We should ask to be reimbursed for the two horrible nights. I don't understand why you refer to this hotel as a "boutique hostel" which is just as good as a backpacker for a cheap night's sleep. Everything is unkempt (example still the decorations from the year of the rat....) and the decorations are old and battered. You can feel that the hotel was good (except the rooms 400..) but that was before.... The service was also very very limited. No space to eat in the dining room. We had to have breakfast on tables in the corridor of the rooms... not good breakfast. Cold eggs bad coffee (broken machine), bed sheets sewn up, no towels for hands in the rooms... clogged toilets, hot water not hot) in short it's a "hostel" that is no longer properly run. Two horrible nights to forget. I advised the manager to go and sleep in the 408! That is, if he manages to close his eyes. So this is an address to be avoided, especially as the village does not seem to be lacking in real charming inns.

Very good hotel
Reviewed By KYtravellsThis is the second time we have stayed here, and we will definitely return one day. The hotel is clean and has the necessities, and is very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is good with a few options mainly Asian. The location is convenient close to the rice fields and a few minutes to walk into town. There are room options with different sizes and views. We had a view over the alley way which was cute, but the view over the stream and the rice paddies is amazing for a higher price.

Reviewed By Voyage30076462258疫情贵州不太严重，刚过已经憋不住了，决定千年侗寨肇兴走一招，找了一家肇兴当地最好最贵的民宿，确实，贵一定有贵的道理，免费攻略，直接开车到停车场入口接我们，帮我们拿行李送进房间，到店有当地生态荒坡红茶，处处都体现出老板的用心，早餐可丰富了，并且全是就地取材新鲜营养。寨子里人不多，小住三五天，周边徒步自驾有好多自然村寨可以去，都是免费的，这个时候百花争艳 ，店小二周边攻略没得说了.！总之超级推荐，肯定物超所值！

Reviewed By Jean YVip Hotel is located way into picturesque Zhaoxing. A shuttle takes you to the entrance of the town and a 15 minute or so walk through the center of town takes you to Vip Hotel. The hotel room is large and equipped with all the amenities, including air conditioning and hair dryer. Cleanliness prevailed throughout. However, rooms can be noisy, particularly those near the stairways. Internet was strong and worked in the rooms. Sitting outside the rooms was pleasant, especially when there was a breeze blowing by. The staff was friendly and one person actually spoke English - a real plus.

Reviewed By agoh69The only set back of the hotel is the toilet has not heating floor especially during the winter time, you almost can’t use the toilet due to freezing floor. This hote is located inside the town with close location to visit the Dong villages. The bed is Super comfy and the room is warm enough . We have family of 5 and given a 3 big beds room which is really huge! There’s no lift on this hotel and prepare to carry the luggage to level 2 or 3! There’s now assess from outside transport to this hotel. You have to roll your luggages all the way from carpark to the hotel. Beautiful hotel and breakfast is simple local noodle or porridge breakfast with some local steam buns . Coffee comes in 3 in 1 packet!

Bad service
Reviewed By linglingvictoriaBedrooms are comfortable and restaurant food is good but the hotel has almost no service and doesn’t seem to bother at all. They didn’t tell us you need 30mn to get to the hotel from the entrance of the village (outside cars are not allowed to enter the village): we had to take 2 buses, walk 20mn with our luggages to get there. Villagers cars are allowed in the village but the village didn’t provide any help at all with luggages on our way in and out of the village. On our way out they said they would help but only brought the luggage to one of the minibus stations. We wasted 1h of our time trying to sort out this luggage situation. Laundry is incredibly expensive. We asked the hotel to help do our laundry as we were spending 2 nights there: we paid 10 rmb per piece of clothes (even for socks!) to get partly wet, unfold clothes 5mn before checkout. I don’t know what the other hotels in the village are like, but considering we paid 460 RMB for a room per night the service could have been better.

Average, typical hotel for the area, with a nice view
Reviewed By worldnomad_01We stayed for one night in Zhaoxing and choose the Xishan Xinglu Hotel for its views of the village. The hotel is a bit off the main road and a bit uphill, was quiet and our room (#3) had a small balcony which offered a reasonably nice view over the village. The room was small, clean, had a flat screen TV and a small, clean bathroom with a good shower.
