Disappointing food experience

Reviewed By sonamc492

We stayed at indigo but had our breakfast and dinner in Intercontinental. The buffet breakfast was so mediocre, with hardly any choice. Quite disappointing for an intercontinental hotel. We had dinner and whatever we ordered from the beer list was apparently not available. I ordered tuna salad with potatoes and the tuna were stinky and spoiled. The staff tried hard and were pleasant, however, the whole food experience was horrible. No wonder we were the only people in the restaurant.

Came to visit lijiang in may 2020, very few people in general. Hotel service was excellent, candy the hotel manager was beyond helpful from the moment we arrived in the old town. Rooms were well designed with good quality hardwares. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is small but warm. Soundproofing is a bit of an issue for sensitive people but it’s considered better than most hotels in the oldtown due to its secluded location within the oldtown. It was a good experience overall, would totally recommend anyone who wants to explore the oldtown and have a modern place to stay at night.

Perfection

We traveled around Yunnan for 9 days, and Lijiang was our last stop. Traveling with my husband and 2 children, this place was absolute perfection. A very warm welcome, hot tea and snacks, and friendly/helpful staff were just what we needed when we arrived at the hotel. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable, especially my children. The rooms were very clean and very well decorated. Absolute comfort. The breakfast had a lot of variety - I especially loved that there were homemade items!! We had dinner at the hotel...and the food was absolutely fresh and delicious! Even their cocktails were superb. This place is a must stay. Not only is the hotel fabulous, the staff are incredible...the location of the hotel is fantastic (in Shuhe old town). Everything was just perfect. We will surely recommend this hotel to all our friends and will surely visit again! Thank you for all the kindness. : )

My Love Inn

In the 100-year-old courtyard, under the old Wisteria tree, listen to the rain beating bananas, see the breeze into the forest, you can tune the piano, drink tea. This is not a designer's magnificent work. Rooms, plants, tables, chairs and cups are all designed and collected by the landlady who loves simple life. The Inn design respects nature and preserves tradition. Furniture collection of rare old wood, proprietress design, Taiwan famous customized. Each room has a different experience, or water view lotus, or Wisteria around the window, or bamboo forest screening, or listen to the view of the forest. Beautiful and Relaxing Resort

Reviewed By Patrick M

We visited the Purelax Mountain Hotel in August for four nights. We had the most relaxing stay thanks to the incredible mountainside scenery, the amazing room, and the wonderful hospitality of the staff. All the rooms are suites and they are HUGE! It’s the biggest suite we’ve ever stayed in and we didn’t want to leave. Each suite has a living room area, a massive balcony with a view of the mountain, a tub with a TV, a walk-in closet, and more. It doesn’t get much better than having coffee on the balcony in the morning with a view of the mountain. It’s a great hotel to just hang out in and relax. There’s a nice game room and a piano that guests were using quite a bit. We made full use of the facilities and even used the spa which was really good (but a bit expensive). I did feel like there was a lot of space in the hotel that could have been utilized in other ways, but I suppose that’s just nitpicking. The restaurant was good for breakfast, not great. The best thing on the menu for dinner is the yak hotpot. It was my wife’s birthday and I was scrambling to find a cake. The restaurant originally said they didn’t have any cake, but a member of the staff named Lucy was able to get a birthday cake in time. A special thanks to her for making it an even better stay!
