Eating at Kandil was a sweet experience. It should be a place that every traveler eats at while in Gracias, as many of the pizzas feature local ingredients such as loroco and choro. The design of the restaurant is charming and the staff were very friendly. I personally tried the Colosuca pizza along with a natural beverage and I wish I had visited Kandil more than once during my time in Gracias. Indeed, Kandil is one of the several reasons I have for wanting to return to Gracias at some point in the future! Highly recommended.Hi maurflow!! Finca Bavaria is a beautiful family owned hotel/bar/restaurant. The family who own it are the sweetest, kindest and friendliest people in town. The food is delicious, with authentic Honduran cuisine at reasonable prices, and there are menus in English too! The Finca regularly hosts events such as rock and roll concerts, music at the bonfire and even gallery events! It's the best place in town to get to meet the locals and really get a feel for Honduran culture. It's very safe and you're well looked after by your hosts. It's also called 'Finca' farm for a reason, and if you take a stroll around the property you'll find lots of coffee plants. If you're interested in birding or going to the mountain Celaque it's well worth asking here, and Finca is a regular meeting place for the local birding club. You can't go to Gracias and not stop in Finca Bavaria!
