Classic Lobby View & Nice Room
Reviewed By resureihostoThe lobby area was pretty classic and nice scenery with Beca and memorial disc player. Even the above floors are decorated with pictures and vases. They do provide towels and toiletries such as shower foam, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste and hair blower too. The room is quite narrow but it's quite nice to stay for 2 nights.

Extremely Basic
Reviewed By Amy WAs basic as in can be, with only a single pillow per person, it's pretty ok for the price. Note that there is no elevator, so request for lower floors especially if you have heavy luggage. For the superstitious (Chinese) guests :- 1. Due to the layout / floor plate, there are as many corner rooms as non corner rooms. 2. Gas station beside hotel separates in from a (Christian) cemetary. Note : I stayed on a low floor corner room, on this "special side". Slept & woke up ok.

Conspicious yet secluded within, clean, surrounding is Hotel Vistana Micassa located in Taiping Town. Room is affordable and adjacent with major government offices such as Pejabat Daerah Larut Matang Selama, Majlis Perbandaran Taiping, Mahkamah Taping, Local and International Bank such as Bank Rakyat, Ambank, Standard Chartered, Public Bank and many places of interest such as Taman Tasik Taiping, Zoo Taiping, Museum and other recreational places. Hotel Vistana Micassa is located opposite to the Larut Matang District Office and at the northern end of the town and between two main roads in Taiping which is Jalan Kota (Kota Road) and Jalan Taming Sari (Main Road). Experience a wonderful stay at the Hotel Vistana Micassa. Considered a relatively new hotel, gives hotel the advantage to provide guest with the latests in everyday comforts in its choice of beds, decoration and style and toiletry facilities.

Got connecting room which is convenient for family traveller like us. Aircond cold enough and room clean. It would be great if the hotel could provide more than 1 pillow in the room. Basic toiletries given. Wifi connection slow. Overall okay 7/10.

Axis Hotel is conveniently located within easy access to tourist sites like Taiping Zoo and Taiping Lake, both located a 15-minute away. It provides an airport shuttle service and free Wi-Fi. Rooms are homey and well-furnished with air conditioning, ironing facilities and a TV. They have a sitting area and private bathroom featuring either a shower or bathtub.
Decent room for the price, but damp in room
Reviewed By macedonboyStayed here for 3 nights in room 12. Generally, the hotel is clean, and for a budget hotel reasonably maintained. Like most budget hotels, a little TLC would not hurt. The room has no window or any natural ventilation. I could see some mould on the ceiling of the room and on the shower pipes. I could smell damp the moment I entered the room, but given the Malaysian MCO situation, it was acceptable. The bed, towels and sheets were clean, but in real need of replacement. The mattress cover was badly stained, although I thought it smelled clean. The hand towel was in a deplorable state, virtually falling apart as my photos show. The bed was okay and about par for a budget hotel. There was also a pair of flippers supplied, which I would’ve only used in the most desperate of situations (look at the photos). There was AC in the room, but I found it unreliable. In the main, it works. Sometimes it blows cold air as expected, other times it blows lukewarm air. It was more noticeable because I was stuck in the room most of the day due to the aforementioned MCO. Otherwise I would've been out sightseeing and therefore less of an issue. The reception has drinks and snacks, at reasonable prices. The reception is also manned all the time as far as I could tell. The staff are professional, courteous and do a good job of keeping the hotel clean. Location wise, Axis Hotel is pretty much in the middle of Taiping where most of the Heritage trail and attractions are. The Taiping Lake Gardens is about 1km walk away. Overall, I had a reasonable stay at the hotel. The facilities are fine for the price paid. The facilities are about what's expected. The thing that really let the room down was the damp in the room and toilet/bathroom. Otherwise, I would’ve given the hotel another star.

Reviewed By 109janetlBookings must be made through online platforms, no walk ins allowed. As we are exhausted to look for other hotel that can fit 4 of us in 1 room, we just decided to give a try. Room comes in double bed. Spacious. Need to have spare cash to give as refundable room deposit. Plus point: They allow us to park our car in front of hotel. Good option for a night stay. Friendly reception. Tips:- Buy bottled mineral water to drink and not recommend to take hot/cold water from their water dispenser in lobby (is dirty unfiltered water).

Strategik location but uncomfortable
Reviewed By master_mazeenBeen here for 2nd time since it is cheap hotel. Location are very strategic, mid town and close with pasar. Room are small, tilam are super hard and pillow are very small. Cannot sleep keep wake up few time.

Reviewed By mohzan hBuilt in 1929 , its like a hugh bungalow , in Taiping town centre. Its old n run down but clean n well maintain. Only 2 storeys, rooms are clean n bed comfy. Bathroom is old but clean. Aircond n wifi ok. 2nd floor temporary closed due to low occupancy / Covid 19 . Double room at about rm80 per night is value for money. Very near to shops n restaurants n Taiping Mall. Free parking. Good service.
