The little family paradise in the middle of orchards is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, walks and lots more. Despite being embedded in a natural landscape, it is only a few minutes on foot to the centre of Laces near Merano. The apartments provide equipment suitable for children and dispose of balcony or terrace. There is no room for further wishes on the large lawn, on the playground and playing field, on the trampoline, in the playroom, in the adventure indoor swimming pool, in the sauna landscape and in the winter garden with private bar. Furthermore, a varied weekly programme awaits both children and adults. Let yourself being pampered and enjoy your stay - seasoned with harmony and a bit of humour - from the very beginning. Reviewed By Manuel2709La struttura si trova a Laces all'inizio della val Martello. Ha camere ampie e ben pulite, con ampio balcone, bagno con doccia spaziosa. Colazione abbondante con ottime marmellate, torte e yogurt e una zona per colazione salata. Le proprietarie molto cordiali e simpatiche, ci hanno dato ottimi consigli sui vari trekking disponibili in zona. All'arrivo ci è stata data la Venosta Card che permette di usare gratuitamente i mezzi pubblici ed il fantastico trenino della valle che collega Merano a Malles, la stazione è a pochi metri. La pensione ha un ampio parcheggio privato gratuito. Consigliamo vivamente questa struttura per il vostro soggiorno in Val Venosta

Reviewed By RobertP836Have been at the Jagdhof twice so far and will certainly come back. The hotel is family-owned and run with mostly local staff, and every aspect of the service is great. Especially for mountain-bikers the hotel offers lots of information and support (GPS tracks for tours, a bike garage with work bench and tools, guided tours, ...). The recently renovated rooms and dining areas are stylish and cosy. The new sauna area on the roof is fantastic, with a great view, comfortable resting areas and an outdoor pool on the roof. Food is also exceptional! Thanks for the great times at your hotel!

Reviewed By jboblitzMy wife and I stayed for a second time (first in Nov 2019) and highly recommend them! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to ensure a perfect stay. We preferred to hike and use the wellness areas. The guided tours are excellent and the guide (Emanuella) is a fountain of knowledge and a delightful person. The wellness areas are very clean and well maintained and a perfect retreat after a hiking tour. We stayed on one of the smaller rooms (Morgenrotzimmer) but it was quite roomy and still offered a nice view of the valley and then Sonnenberg / St. Martin. Due to the layout, all rooms provide excellent views. The food service is among the best - well stocked continental breakfast buffet with the option to order additional items freshly prepared (e.g. eggs, bacon etc...). But the highlight is the evening dinner. Well thought out 5 course menus including a Vegi menu as well as ala Carte options in case any one or all of the items is not what you prefer. The Staff here are highly professional and knowledgeable. Of course, they offer an abundance of wines from South Tirol as well as other areas. Here, the staff prove to be excellent in their recommendations - when in doubt, their insight never fails to please. Speaking of wine - one of the many highlights is a weekly Wine Tasting hosted by Hr. Dietl. This is a MUST for any wine lover. We attended both years and enjoyed it immensely. To be honest, I had never attended a wine tasting before, other than those sometimes offered at a winery mainly trying to sell their wares. I was afraid it would be a stuffy affair. I was pleasantly surprised. Hr. Dietl is quite entertaining, combining a vast knowledge of wines in general with wit and stories which makes the whole affair unforgettable! Do not miss this! All together, if you a re planning a trip to Vinschgau, South Tirol you will never regret choosing the Hotel Matillhof! A note about Covid. Obviously, due to the restrictions, this year was a bit different than the last. But in the Hotel the rules were well defined and there was an abundance of hygiene stations and the mask rules were not overly intrusive. Distancing was not difficult and the wellness areas offered more than enough space to relax. We thank the Dietl Family and the entire staff for an unforgettable stay - we will be back in 2021!

If you’re looking for a pub, consider a visit to Weißes Rossl Latsch, Rathaus Cafe, or Moser's Speckalm, which are all conveniently located a short distance from Pension Tannenhof. If you’re looking for something to do, Chiesa di Santo Spirito all'Ospedale (0.4 mi) is a nice way to spend some time, and it is within walking distance of Pension Tannenhof. The staff at Pension Tannenhof looks forward to serving you during your upcoming visit.

Reviewed By Joe PThe Hotel is an the fringe off the town, within the apple grove, with a small parking lot for you car. The rooms have quite old furnished, but it is VERY clean. One of the cleanest hotels i stayed, ever. The breakfast and dining area is new, the breakfast is formidable. A great variety of cheese, Tyrolean Ham, yogurt, juices different type of bread and so on. Additionally you can order eggs, we were even allowed to take a provision pack on our bike tours for free, and this is seldom the case. The best of all was the evening menu, consisting of three courses and a salad at first. Very good local produce and at a reasonable price. After the bike tour, this was satisfying beyond any expectations.

Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms
Reviewed By bulletaWe stayed in this 3 star hotel with a group during a hiking weekend for 2 nights. The hotel is conveniently located in a small side street in the centre of Latsch (the German name of the italian 'Laces') in the Vinschgau area of South Tyrol, a hiking & biking paradise. From the hotel, you can walk to the cable car and train stations easily. You won't need a car. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortably and tastefully decorated room and lots of cupboard space. The hotel used to be the Hotel Tanja but has a new extension and is now called Hotel Sonnenhof. We did not get to see the rooms in the 'Tanja' part. The hotel does not have many facilities - just the basics: a small pool, a garage, lift, magazines to borrow. Breakfast is buffet style. Not a large spread but enough to start off your day. We did not have half board so I can't comment on dinner. As of Oct 06, the plot of land next to the hotel is being developed (by someone else). However, the hotel is now closed for the season till March, so if you would like to book when the hotel reopens, check if the construction work is still going on.
