Sakura

We each chose a separate menu as we weren't sure what to order. These generally include Miso Soup and a small salad to start. Then different sushi and/or sashimi, followed by meat kebabs. The food was delicious and the service great. No English spoken, but the menus all have pictures of what you get, so this was not a problem. Very good value.

Restaurant le marie stuart

Reviewed By Scibeeria - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Marie Stuart is more than an exceptional restaurant. It is an exceptional experience.
The Scottish proprietress is a delightful, friendly lady who takes a keen interest in her clientele. She is your aged aunt who has been awaiting your return. Her Guinness Book record-holding French husband is the doting uncle who makes sure you have everything you need and more.
Beyond the exceptional service, the restaurant serves excellent home cooking from a menu focussed on a handful of quality meals. The Marie Stuart stands out as the best and perhaps only example of French-Scottish fusion cuisine. It is "le home cooked meal pour ma bairns."
To top it off, the warm crowded Scottish decor gives that other worldly experience you would never expect in a regional French town.
Do not miss the chance to dine here.

L'Olivier

Reviewed By charles h - County Tipperary, Ireland

This restaurant says it is "Open every day save fro Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings" which for a city centre restaurant might seem to lack committment and success.
We have had a house in the area for nearly twenty years, I speak fluent French and we eat out a lot, and on looking at the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor I thought we might try it. Being out on the road I rang them on a Wednesday lunchtime with a view to booking a table for the following Friday.
I never even got the man to admit that I had contacted L'Olivier as he spotted that my mobile was a foreign number (UK) and insisted that I must be a long way away - I was maybe 10km from his door- and could not possible want to speak to him or book a table. On trying a second time, having checked that I ha the correct number, he put the phone down without answering.
Therefore I cannot and never will be able to comment on the quality of of the dining experience here as there are others who are happy to take our custom, but on this showing there is something very wrong with the management/ownership of this restaurant and one wonders how many others have experienced this bizarre behaviour

I had the menu du jour at 14.5 euros which whilst not something to shout about was good value and freshly prepared. One of us had a 300g steak which was very good and the other a vegetarian dish which was good if not imaginative....MoreThank you for leaving us this good review, we are glad you enjoyed your time.

One of the things I liked most about the food is the lightness of touch. Two courses, Choux pastry with trout and wasabi cream, cod with butternut squash, peppery cress and flaked almonds were both full of flavour but not overpowering and the simple unadorned...MoreThankyou very much for your comment. We will be very happy to welcome you back to Le P'tit Marais.

Lovely decor, good service. It very much an average chain. Frozen chips, tough steak, pretty yucky sauce, tiny salad for some reason stuffed in a ramekin.... Husband had a good burger. Son had fish which was good and a nice ice cream.

Aux Delices D'agadir

Reviewed By maronism - Portugal

It was a fluke that we decided to stop for the night in La Roche-sur-Yon, and an even bigger one to stumble upon Aux Delices D'Agadir while driving around this beautiful city. While the back-lit sign above the restaurant doesn't project the true feeling of this Moroccan delight, it should be, without hesitation, a mandatory stop for a remarkable meal.
The ambiance is reminiscent of Agadir (it's namesake), Rabat, or Casablanca, with slightly more french styling. The menu is fairly simple with variations of couscous dishes and tagines, along with an array of salads and other dishes. A decent collection of aperitifs, and of course dessert... thé à la menthe (anyone wise to Moroccan culture and cuisine knows you absolutely cannot skip at least one glass, if not three or more) to accompany a variety of plates or a select from "pâtisseries orientales" (I always favor baklava).
The staff, of primarily Moroccan origin, are incredibly friendly, and while you'll have no trouble with french, speak varying levels of English. Don't be concerned, as the dishes speak for themselves. If you're new to Moroccan cuisine, please do try the Couscous Maison (House Special Couscous, with chicken and lamb), which is an excellent family style meal (as is very traditional in Morocco).
I quite literally cannot say enough good about this restaurant and the amazing staff/cooks.

Loved the sardine starters .
My wife loved her salad and the different ingredients.
I had the carpaccio for mains, loved it.

L'atable

Reviewed By LargelyMonk - Banstead, United Kingdom

There's a lot of inventiveness with the food here and everything is well presented, an amuse bouche, the table settings , the decor, the friendly welcome. The scallop starter was good if a little lacking in flavour, the lamb cutlet not as interesting as the vegetable melange on the same plate and the meat was a little gristly and not the rose colour I asked for. Having said that, my partner proclaimed her perch one of the best pieces of fish she's eaten for a while in its chestnut sauce. The cheese course was oozing and salty but essentially cheese on toast. The bottle of wine recommended on the table was great value and maybe I was unlucky with the lamb so I will definitely go back and try again.
