Kosgoda is a small coastal town located in Southern Province in Sri Lanka. The area of Kosgoda is home to a population of nearly 3,000 people. It is approximately 72 kilometres (45 mi) south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1 metre (3.3 ft) above the sea level. The area is becoming one of the most vibrant tourist areas in Galle District in Sri Lanka due to the locations beautiful beaches, Kosgoda Lagoon (perfect place for watching birds and boat trips) and the it's Turtles and Turtle hatcheries.

We emailed Sankarest to ask if they could cook us some traditional Sri Lankian food. When we arrived we were very warmly welcomed into a beautiful house and seated on their verandah. The food was far beyond our expectations, so many different dishes, all so wonderful especially the shredded aubergine....... We have never tasted anything like it, it was amazing. If you are looking for a traditional Sri Lankian experience with wonder food provided by lovely people then this is the place your looking for.

Romantic and clean place on Deduwa lake .from the beach we are 2,5 km . We have the best seefood dish .and seefood .our Manu evry limited option. One day you try .next day you will come Again. We do have pary to cros the lacke.with lunch or dinner . (max. 4 persons.) on on the river, with candles. Our boat man will take you around Dedduwa lake and lagoon. We organize business parties and birthday parties . This not very big resturent . We have 7 table .no big staf. No big croud . My Idiya for relax life and good food. For every one who come to Bentota. Fast day you can try my main manu.and next day you can do your reqwest like .expl. you like rice and cury or nice readsnapper.. I am the person to do that as a best a friesh.

Really good, fresh seafood on a lakeside setting. We took the opportunity of paying a little extra to be taken on an atmospheric pontoon ride on the adjacent lake before our dinner. The lobster was delicious. The restaurant is a short tuk-tuk journey from the resort hotels on nearby Bentota Beach.

Was coming from Galle towards Colombo and looking for a good restaurant to have lunch. Could find any good, then found this place through a tuk tuk guy.
Good Atmosphere , good food and service. it was packed with foreigners.
Price range is ok. And lack of space in the car pack. Over all Good experience.

Malli's Seafood Restaurant is about a 5 min walk from Avani Bentota - the resort we were staying at. And I'm so so glad we managed to come here for a meal one evening.
The Terrace Seating overlooks the railway tracks. Beautiful restaurant, friendly service, and absolutely delicious food.
We couldn't get enough of their Thai Prawn Curry! The grilled fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Just everything was perfect.
This place should definitely be on your list if you're visiting Bentota

Fantastic riverside position, great staff, even good wine (Tall Horse Pinotage, reasonable price too). Bug starters, great fillet steak, mixed grill huge! We fancied a change after 3 weeks of local food, but Sri Lankan choices available. We found this lovely restaurant nearby our hotel. We have been welcomed warmly by Kuma, Berty and the rest of the crew. Of course, the service speed has not been the fastest and world greatest, but the warm hospitality they gave us, let us forget about couple of minutes waiting time. And at the end, we have been on holidays and have not been in a rush at all. The food has been excellent and the chocolate milk-shake has been amazing. We went there back almost on a daily basis, for food n drinks. We highly recommend the chicken noodles.
We also booked the tours with them. Kuma picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Bentota and we did some nice sightseeing: Turtle farm, Buddha statute and temple, Souvenir shops, etc. Kuma has been very caring and patient.
He also booked us a day tour to Kandy with Dhammika, a very good and safe driver and a great tour guide. We also booked Dhammika to drive us back to the airport. His hybrid Honda has been very clean and we felt safe all the time - not like with our first taxi driver, organised by the hotel.
We only can recommend the services of Kuma, Berty and Dhammika. They have been very honest to us, which has been the most important factor.

Me and my girlfriend were in Bentota for one night and wanted a lovely meal in the evening. We had heard this restaurant was special and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant was beautiful, all open with great views out at the ocean. We were made to feel very special with the staff very attentive and they provided us with extra courses free of charge! As you would expect for such beautiful food and scenery, this was one of our more expensive meals but it was worth it! It was about £75 for the two of us and we each had a starter, main and a few drinks each, so more expensive than your average Sri Lankan meal but still great value for money and we left very full from the great quality food. I had the mutton curry and the curry with a wide range of sides was incredible! We would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Bentota and looking for a special dinner to remember the place by. Certainly memorable!

This was our third visit to the Awanhala Beach Restaurant but not for lunch this time - only a drink as we planned lunch elsewhere. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the stop and the very good drinks, especially the fresh lime drinks, which were excellent.

Bentota lske is very beautiful ,boat safari in it is spectacular. They take in between mangroves and very scienic beauty. Natural beauty is unbelievable.

Best food we ate in Sri Lanka and reasonably priced with no hidden charges. Many choices on the menu and very attentive, friendly staff. Not only the best in Sri Lanka but the quality was better than many other restaurants I have eaten in throughout the world
