An OK Hotel
Reviewed By lovetoootravelWe stayed at this Hotel as part of a group tour through China. Small but dated room, big bathroom but a very hard bed, even for China standards! Room had very poor lighting, not much in the way of shelf space, very soft carpet. Blinds were a bit tatty and did not provide blockout. Does not have aircon that operates on cold setting - when you put int on cold, the whole aircon for the room shuts down! They have one of the best showers in any China hotel. Excellent location to shops and breakfast provided by the hotel, given it's location was a very good spread!

Excellent hotel in Korla
Reviewed By chinhp2014I have visited Korla multiple times, however this if first time to stay in this hotel due to recent regulation change for foreigners. It is excellent hotel, next to the river with great view, large room. The restaurant is for the local food only. It suggests to ensure you have some local to help you at the airport and check in due to recent tight security regulation.

Hard to find much wrong
Reviewed By b bWiFi good Breakfast good Service good Quality of sleep good It's in a good location near park in downtown. Lively music could be a problem of you sleep at odd hours. My room had a fridge, iptv with most Chinese channels. A small spray when flushing the toilet, but a small thing. Good water pressure and temperature. Central Heater worked good. I would not call the hotel exceptional or special, but the lack of problems and complaints made the stay a good one.

An OK hotel but a poor breakfast for Western tastes.
Reviewed By Michael NOur room was comfortable with a good bed, the bathroom was quite small but clean with good hot water. Breakfast was most disappointing with cold not fully cooked boiled eggs where the white oozed out like jelly when cracked open. No toast, coffee was a delightful tin of Nescafé and the orange juice is best not mentioned. A bun resembling a mushroom was a pleasant surprise with fig jam inside.

Comfortable Western standard hotel in Korla
Reviewed By Leslie SWe spent five days at the Jia Xing Guo Hua Hotel while visiting friends for a wedding in Korla. Western style hotel with good bathroom and great shower. The hotel was hot. Good breakfast but Chinese style with nothing at all to drink most days, not even hot water-- Like most Chinese hotels the carpets needed cleaning--what is it about the lack of vacuum cleaners? Even Dyson sell theirs in China. Otherwise the standard was okay, though very dim corridor lighting always. Service was inconsistent--two days our room was not made up by 5 in the afternoon and the sign was turned around to say Don't Disturb when we had left it sayiing Make Up Room--the staff don't read English clearly. The Muslim restaurant on the 2nd floor is the best place to eat in the hotel, though expensive compared to the noodle shop on the first floor for some reason called Western Restaurant.

Good hotel, near the river
Reviewed By lI0ve2h0lidayGood size room with air conditioning although this could have been more powerful, no fridge, filthy windows (again this seems to be standard) Beds hard but better than many in China. Restaurant included, served in a little cafe a few doors along, Chinese food only. Easy check in/out. Only stayed one evening, got in late and left early so not sure what there is to do nearby other than stroll along the river, this is a nice spot with plenty of locals walking and joining in exercise routines.

OK for a short stay
Reviewed By Stickman1My wife and I spent one night in this hotel (also known as the Golden Star Hotel) on a Wendy Wu 'Silk Road Explorer' tour of western China. It was quite clean and comfortable, although the TV was an old cathode ray model with no English language channels. I think we were in one of the cheaper rooms. There is a shopping arcade with a travel agency, but nothing of use to us.

Good but basic hotel
Reviewed By BostonSkierIn this part of China it is hard to find a Hotel that can rent to non- Chinese tourists. This hotel is one of the few available. Modern room, but no closet, no refrigerator, and no safe. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning. No rugs, hard surface floor which was very clean. No rugs is a plus, it beats the generally dirty, stained rugs in China! Large flat screen TV with some English programming. Good windows that actually open. Nice bathroom, very good shower. Basic but OK breakfast. The city around the hotel is very depressing, falling apart and dirty. If you want a clean, comfortable place to stay this hotel will fit the bill.
