Reviewed By sydneysteveI rarely rate a place 5/5 but this is one of the best 3 star rated resorts I've stayed at in Thailand. Modern looking resort and well maintained. All the staff are quite professional executing their duties and that includes the guy out on the beach every day cleaning. I stayed in a 3rd floor balcony room where every room provides you with great sea views. Everything worked just fine and a nice comfortable bed to boot. Breakfast was a reduced affair given there was only a handful of guests whilst I was here. Note the restaurant is closed after breakfast during low season. I appreciated the complimentary golf cart service to restaurants along the main road. Overall, a great stay and I hope to be back again at the end of this year.

Delicious included breakfasts and an excellent good value menu at the gorgeous beach front restaurant. Incredibly kind, friendly and generous staff who bent over backwards to assist us with transportation to and from, and everything in between. The manager is an absolute legend who even drove us to the local shops to get supplies! Rooms very comfortable with great showers and stunning views from the balcony. They also have a cute resident cat. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you want absolute relaxation on a lovely beach away from the crowds, this is for you.

Reviewed By chunter7I stayed here happily nearly 2 month in the off season. The hosts and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The bungalows are well maintained and serviced regularly. The restaurant provides a great Menü and there is weekly BBQ. The beach is a dream. The prices are accordingly modest. It's a great place to stay. Thank you so much, I will come again.

Reviewed By lisamL7968IYStayed here for 10 days in February and didn’t want to leave. The accommodation is basic but has everything you need, fridge, air con, terrace, safe, shower, kettle. We did only have cold water a few days but it was so hot out that it was ok. The pool area is so beautiful with a great restaurant and bar alongside the pool. Very close to all bars and restaurants. There is no beach but it’s only a 5 minute walk away. I will definitely stay here again. A big mention to the staff who work so hard, especially the garden maintenance guys.

Reviewed By flemmingq2021We spent 10 days/nights at this fabulous resort. We knew Koh Chang and Bangbao Bay in advance, but we have never stayed at this resort before. We knew the resort is situated at a beautiful and tranquil beach, but on top of that we were delighted by the cleanliness of the huts and the friendly service extended. Khun Jebbie and her staff runs a very clean and well-organized operation. Some weeks after having booked the resort via booking.com we were contacted by khun Jebbie. She informed us that prices had dropped, and she recommended us to re-book our room in order to obtain a discount. Having arrived at the resort we were even upgraded to a superior room t the same reduced price. Not only did khun Jebbie organize our transport from Bangkok to the resort, but she was also invaluable in coordinating our mandatory second PCR-test with the hospital in Koh Chang as well as communicating the result to us. The resort and the huts have a beautiful view over Bangbao Bay. The sound of the waves and the bird and gecko calls at dusk underlines the tropic atmosphere. the beach restaurant next door serves a variety of excellent Thai and European dishes. Rent a scooter (200 THB per day) at a nearby shop and you have access to the entire island.

Also a delicious restaurant with international dishes. Soon will be added, a mini golf, massage parlor, beachbar and more... Very well priced, this resort is for almost all budgets.

Reviewed By 573maxjMy girlfriend and I went away to celebrate our graduations in Feb 2020. We were looking for a quiet, tropical get-away where we could take it easy as well as go on adventures. We chose Garden of Joy on Koh Chang – and we could not have made a better choice. In short: the place really lived up to its name. It was beautiful and set in a tropical garden. It was like living in a small rain forest. Our stay was so personal and magical all the way through. During the time, we got to know the owner, her niece and wonderful staff. The service was amazing, the food was wonderful – the value was outstanding in other words. You could even rent scooters. And just over the road was a convenience store. The owner even helped us plan and set up excursions like snorkeling and hiking. We celebrated our first year together as well as my birthday. The staff celebrated me and the owner even made me a birthday cake. It was magical. When the time was up, we did not want to leave. We are looking forward to coming back one day. This property is 1 minute walk from the beach. Featuring free WiFi, an outdoor pool and restaurant on the beach. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Certain units feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. Enjoy a cup of tea from your terrace or balcony. Every room comes with a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find bathrobes and free toiletries. You can play billiards at the resort. Trat Airport is 19 km from the property.

We have a family room which gives us a small room upstairs and a bedroom area with a balcony with a sea view and pool view. The bar is brilliant, right on the beach. We had food when we arrived, which was first class. We stayed in Koh Chang years ago at the AWA resort, we enjoyed it but wanted to try somewhere different. The value for money for 15 palms is actually unbelievable. I feel like I've robbed the owner getting it for around £35 a night. My wife and I are so happy with this choice. If your in any doubt where to stay on Koh Chang, make sure you consider here.
