Lovely stay
Reviewed By JoannaK3374We spent 2 nights in ZEN and we were astonished by warm hospitality. Their beautiful garden is a perfect place for relaxation and meeting foreigners after wondering around khajuraho. We're grateful for lemon tea and delicious food, the room as well as bathroom were really comfortable and good for any kind of guests. We totally recommend this place and will hopefully come back:)

Reviewed By Avikm7The hotel is situated in the middle of a field (near the bus stand) which gives a creepy feeling at night since it is not well lit. The hotel is surely under staffed and it shows. A total lack of maintenance..bathroom fittings does not work properly and no arrangement of hot water was available. Broken sofa at the entrance and no proper signage sets your mood off. The overall cleanliness is very low. Theres no proper food arrangements and even getting a cup of tea is a hassle, the nearest food joint is 800 m away...I would rather ask people to stay away from it until it goes for a major makeover...

Filthy place, unengaged staff
Reviewed By neerajnayanI booked for the long weekend, starting 2nd of April. We had booked 4 rooms, I received a confirmation that they had received our request and the booking was confirmed. We had booked 2 deluxe and 2 normal rooms. While we were on the way, I received a message at 1:30 odd PM that they just had 3 rooms available. As you can see, it was too late. The free parking is on a 10 feet street. My SUV seemed to block a big portion of the street. I wasn't too comfortable parking up there but had no other option. The staff upon seeing us complained that we were supposed to check in later in the evening. Please note that we arrived 2 hours later than the checkin time. Also given their unrestrained conduct, it seems that they had never heard of COVID. They offered us 3 rooms, one of which was supposedly ready. The one that was, had yellow stains on the sheets and had not been washed in ages. One of the staff members knocked at the door of a room and requested the guests to shift to another room. After a few minutes I followed the staff member to see how he was prepping up the place. He did not change the bedsheets but was just smothering the crumpled sheet and was remaking the bed. I asked him to change all linen. He replied that it was already clean. I am 45 years old and this was the worst experience ever. I have stayed in some cheap places before. This was downright unethical. I decided not to stay there a minute longer. I checked into another place. The earlier reviews effectively are great which means that at some point of time the owner might have taken his hands off the daily management of the property and therefore the focus has suffered.
