Jamala House is light and centrally located next to Lamu Fort in the historic oldest part of Lamu. It is a quiet and private resort with a relaxing garden compound. All rooms have private bathrooms with hot water. There is a kitchen for common use and couches to relax as well as a rooftop with a great view of the sea. Me Baji, the manager, am also happy to give advice on good places to eat, get you a nice boat trip on my own Dhow or help you with any other questions.
I was at lamu for a solo trip and I stayed at the best possible place for that, Jamala house.
Reviewed By hermelak2020Getting to Lamu, Badji, Jamala's manager, greeted me from the airport. He also introduced me to a tour guide (Abbas) where I had a very detailed and comprehensive understanding of lamu interms of history, current social structure and furture prospects. Badji is an incredible host who ensures all his guests enjoy their time and caters their stay to their needs as he learns them along the way. He also took me and a few others on a dhow sunset trip which I must add was the highlight of my stay. I highly recommend you stay at Jamala house if you are looking for a serene, authentic experience with a very practical location and simple design. One last note: while in lamu, take a look around town and pay the local (non-tourist targeting) vendors a visit, you will find that they have a lot to offer.

CMDC has 106 rooms, all en-suites, with a capacity of 202 beds, and WIFI. We also have conference rooms with a capacity of 10 to 150 pax.

Meals were done well and they can be very accommodative on serving times. we even had breakfast at 4am due to busy schedule and the next day they were still okay to serve us breakfast at 10,30am coz we overslept :) two thumbs up!

The website’s promise and experience align, the hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and easy to engage with in english, the room I rented was clean, bedding white and clean, shower water warm and food tasty and well prepared. I would strongly recommend this hotel to friends and family looking for a 3-star visit and safe stay in Nairobi, Kenya’s Maple Inn Hotel. 9.5/10 score. The only improvement I would recommend is the upgrade of the toilet and restroom cleanliness and ventilation I also presented a full 4 day business conference with a senior management team and the conference facilities was well equipped with technology and functional. the conference room however do not have airconditioning, and at times the room temperature was 4-5 degrees celcius too warm. I’m happy overall and will give the conference 7,5/10

The staff are very friendly, located in the centre of Wundanyi, the place is close to almost all the facilities one may need, from Health facilities, market, banking, transport and public transportation, all the way to the Wundanyi Stadium for your exercises and sporting events. The food is excellent and its all freshly prepared. The rooms and comfortable with hot running water wifi and even a television. The rates are very reasonable.

Its located at th entrance of Bondo town from Kisumu city next to kplc offices. Perfect get away for couples and best meeting point for family over lunch. I loved the 49'' sports screen at the restaurant from which i enjoyed my EUROPA LEAGUE matches. Best anyday.

We are a 'boutique' apartment hotel. Small, unique and functioning. Megg's Place represents the best of Kisumu. Comfort, thrift, luxury and creativity on a budget. Though,our rooms are kept to a minimum in terms of size, they hold all the equipment's you will need for a comfortable stay, plan your itinerary/a good working day. We are 30 minutes away from the CBD/Kisumu International Airport.
A cozy and homely jewel that many haven't discovered
Reviewed By Becks GOn my way to Bungoma on one of my trips to Nyanza and Western Kenya, we felt need to take a short break. The new road from Kisumu to Kakamega wasn't that familiar and after missing a turn into a mall, we spotted a hidden Jewel. It was a great decision indeed. Cozy, clean and homely place this is. The staff friendly and the service absolutely remarkable. So are the fresh and professionally served meals.

nice hotel on the north side
Reviewed By CFEIIII have stayed here at Maxland a couple times over the last few weeks. Due to the pandemic, there are few people here. The rooms are reasonable, clean and full service, breakfast was served in the room, They do have a nice restaurant and bar area. The hotel is set in the back end of a shopping mall, I didn't have a chance to visit it.
