Things to do in Sungai Petani
This is one of a chain of Noodle Houses around Malaysia. I have also been to the Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth establishments.Like the others, the Sungai Petani location is spotlessly clean, the food is excellent and the service, efficient, profesional and pleasant. You can enjoy either an air con section or sit outside.Fresh cut chillies, soy sauce and sambal are provided on the tables and these are topped up regularly. While the prices are higher than normal coffee shops, the quality and quantities are superior. My favourite dish is the Special Bee Hoon soup. It comes in a large bowl and is filled with a variety of mixed green vegies, fish balls, mince meat and noodles. Delicious! The restaurant is open from breakfast until early evening. Highly recommended!
Love this place for its variety of dim sum until we do not know which to choose. In term of pricing, it is quite reasonable. Would definitely come here again. But, if you come sometimes at 10-11noon, expect a full house and hard to secure a parking.
This restaurant located inside village mall. Usually coming here with family and order Family delight for 4 pax. The chicken rice was good enough and the prices are quite affordable too. However, the table bit small for group larger than 4 people, so you need to combine other table. Service was great and if you have any problems, you can called the restaurant supervisor to explain any difficulties.
Really nice and soft bbq pork, cheap as well. One of my staple lunch during weekday (2-3 visit per week). It is definitely a place worth trying
As the doors open people flood in and continue till it closes, the food is great and large portions. The choice is not huge but all tastes great. Famous among locals because it's good and it shows with so many people pouring in.
The Good:* Clean environment.* Quick and efficient service.* Authentic and delicious Chinese home-cooked dishes.* Reasonably priced dishes.* Old-school small-town ambiance.* Rice steamed individually in aluminium bowls.* Fresh and lean roasted pork with delicious sausages.* Fresh and delicious fish dishes.* Walking distance to the Central Bus Station and taxi depot.* Workers and waiters are a sight and are part of the history of the restaurant. The Bad:* Toilet is not within the restaurant but at another shoplot.* Parking is a problem due to congested town area.* No shelter at the small entrance if it rains.* Not open on Monday.* Opening hours are from 11.30am to 3pm.

The name of this seafood restaurant posting should add Corner after seafood as thereâs seem to have 2 on the TripAdvisor listing. The rabbis expensive: $120 ringgit per kg kind of paying in Singapore. The lobster seemed to be popular but also expensive. Ordered few lobster and cost around $600 ringgit.. the salted egg lobster kind of dry and believed overcooked. Chilli crab looks average and steamed fish kind of blend. Vege are good and chicken is tasty. Kind of not so value for money for 13 of us at $1500 ringgit!
