Jeju is a hot tourist spot, booming with unique attractions. Romantic sunrises and sunsets, mild climate and beautiful sandy beaches make Jeju a popular honeymoon destination. Adventurers can hike to Baeknok Lake at the top of Mount Halla, South Korea’s highest peak. Keep an eye out for the “haenyeo,” female divers gathering fresh seafood, and the iconic “grandfather statues” displayed outside of many restaurants.

I am writing this review as I needed attention and follow-up after my stay. I did not get a copy of my invoice after checking out and realised it when I was putting in my expenses claims for business travel. Well, after you have checked-out, you will be totally ignored. My stay was May 17 to 19 Emailed them on May 23 of my request - no reply Called the hotel on May 26, they asked for all the info related to the booking, and said that they will email it to be. May 30 - still no response Since I am writing this review, I should also share my first time experience staying with them. Rooms - beds comfortable, room is clean but dated and tired, Towels were worn and needs refreshed, but they were clean Front desk - friendly seemed to be in a rush, except those at the graveyard shift as it is quite a large hotel, a lot more patient. Concierge - the junior team members had more initiative and was ready to engage and help the guests. The seniors service levels were far from decent, they serve grudgingly. Restaurant - as its a big hotel, the volume of guest they have to manage is huge, kudos to them, they are efficient. Beware that there was a huge crowd that builds up queuing for the restaurant to open at 7am for breakfast. Conclusion: I won't be returning

Decent stay

Good hotel right at the ocean not too far from the airport. We were able to see the endless arrival of airplanes to the Jeju airport. The room was nice and lobby atrium impressive. We did not eat at the hotel and there were a few restaurants in the area. It was particularly nice to have an E-mart, a big grocery store just within five minutes to walk from the hotel. You can also walk to one of the only two Starbucks in the island (the only one in Jeju city). City center is a bit off: however, traditional touristy spots are within walking distance. They do provide free shuttle service from and to the airport a few times a day.

A filthy, old building, with serious air quality issue’s. It is not worth staying here, just to save a few dollars. Dark hallways made me feel unsafe. The entire building is blasted with deodorizers, in order to hide the smell of mold.

Good location and alright condition

To be honest, I was quite disappointed when I arrived at the hotel. There were not enough spaces to park. I booked the hotel because it said it is a 4 star hotel which clearly not. I would say it is a 3 stars hotel condition. The room was clean and big enough to stay. Shower was good and there are lots of place to eat and drink around. Easy to find and accessible.

Uncomfortable and very unhelpful staff

Reviewed By gf2014

This was our second and last stay at this hotel. We were in a traditional room with no beds, but the floor pads were old and compressed, providing little-to-no comfort. Our family of 4 didn’t sleep more than a few hours each night due to the discomfort. When we kindly asked the staff for extra pads and blankets, they refused to provide pads and offered one extra blanket for 20,000 Korean Won (~$20) per night. Upon checkout the staff asked if our stay was comfortable and once again dismissed our concerns. Worst hotel experience in our entire lives.

We stayed at the Hotel Regentmarine Jeju during a multi-city stop in South Korea. Check in: we arrived before the check in time, so we filled out all necessary paperwork and we were told we'd be notified when our room was ready. The person checking us in was a bit dismissive of us at the time and wasn't the most helpful when it came to help with finding a cafe. I'm not sure if it was due to a language barrier, but it was not a very warm welcome. We ended up finding a great cafe nearby where we hung out until almost check in time. Upon arrival, as there wasn't anyone else checking in, we decided to inquire if our room was ready. The staff member who was helping us, let us know that the room was ready and she was also a lot friendlier than the first person checking us in. Room: The room was very spacious and had two rooms. The view from the room was also quite great. The room was very clean. It was a very standard room by many means. The bathroom had toiletries and unfortunately for us, the heated toilet seat, did not work. Grounds: the hotel has a little restaurant and tuck shop located within it. On the website for the hotel we were not notified that the pool was out of order. It was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, but it didn't hinder our trip. Overall, we had a decent stay at the Hotel Regentmarine Jeju. I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're going to spend a lot of time at it. If you're going to be touring around the island and exploring however, if you can get it for a great price, I'd recommend.
