Sinclairs Retreat Dooars located at Chalsa Hill Top in the Dooars region of West Bengal is spread over 20 acres of verdant green. Built in complete harmony with nature, the resort is ideal for those seeking rest, rejuvenation and adventure. The property has 66 rooms and three suites. These rooms and suites are in cottage style accommodation, with each cottage cluster having six rooms. The USP of our property is to 'come and live with nature'. The resort has a spa with steam and sauna, an olympic size swimming pool and a children's wading pool. It has its own organic farm with medicinal shrubs, flavouring herbs, exotic vegetables and aromatic plants. An air-conditioned multi-cuisine restaurant The Banyan Tree allows you to view the green while enjoying your meals. The Tusker Bar sets the ambiance for a cool evening where guests can enjoy drinks. The Bamboo Grove cafe is an epicurean delight and serves fresh and hot snacks. Recreational facilities croquet, cycling, table tennis, badminton, night cricket/football and billiards. Reviewed By Traveler68692646436Excellent stay, spacious and clean rooms, responsive housekeeping staff led by Mr Suraj Biswa, sprawling lawns and well maintained swimming pool. The only sore point was the waiting time at the restaurant. Although the food is excellent, the menu is limited, continental items are not available despite being on the menu, and waiting time for a meal extends to 45-60 mins after placing an order. Difficult to wait for an hour for food if accompanied by elderly people.

Reviewed By AmitTraveller2016Hotel Paying Guest was a nice good property with all the amenities. It was a good value for money place since the rooms were of adequate size and reasonably clean too. Overall it was a really nice stay.

Reviewed By Sabyasachi123Location of this restaurant is on the main road. However their food quality is to be improved further. Mixed veg item is much oily. Fish item is good. Rice, dal & fried potatoes are OK. Interior is nice. Atmosphere is good.

Reviewed By Ashis DRooms are shabby. Not at all maintained. Everything in the room and the toilet is either junky or dirty. The drinking water decanter is lined with moss inside. The staff is mostly indifferent. I spoke with the owner who stays in another town, and his response was, kind of - take it or leave it. Food is the only decent thing in the place, pretty good. Situated beside the Jayanti River across from the Bhutan hills, vews from the place are excellent.

With minimal decor and furniture the spacious rooms here are offered with spotless soft bed linens. The ambiance of the reception area is warm and welcoming with wall tiles, a large aquarium and a faux leather sofa.This hotel should be easy to locate near the Police Station in the Samajpara area of Jalpaiguri. Places of interest nearby are Rajbari Park, Jalpaiguri Rajbai Mandir, Teesta Udyan National Park, Rajbari palace, Mahakal Mandir, Jubliee Park, etc. AmenitiesAC rooms with TV are offered here. This hotel with CCTV surveillance also has an in-house restaurant and accepts card payments.What's Nearby Some of the food joints nearby are Royal Sagar Food Plaza, Hotel Chandni Chowk Restaurant cum Bar, Jajabar Hotel cum Restaurant and Jadukarai Restaurant. A stay that remains a nightmare
Reviewed By castelinokelvin- The place was very dirty and not well kept at all. - To find the location it took me an hour to figure out where the hotel was since the entrance to the hotel was in a narrow passage - The reception is on the second floor, and the property has no lifts. The reception and the lobby area is so dingy with low lighting that, looks almost like an entrance to an illegal place. - In the room provided, the table had paint splatter, the walls had cobwebs, the washbasin had pan/tobacco stains, cupboard and shelves looked like they would come out anytime - The room was promised with TV, WiFi and toiletries, both were unexisting - Complimentary breakfast was part of the stay, the first day I had to enter their kitchen to find the staff and request it, and he took 30mins to serve a cup of tea and two toast. Following the next two days, no staff of the hotel was found anywhere in the vicinity in the mornings - The water pressure in the bathroom was so slow, that I had to keep it running for an hour for the bucket to fill. - The speed of the fan was slow, even the Kids Cradle toy moved faster. So when asked to fix it, they asked me to use the AC, which had no remote and was stuck at one temperature. - There is no parking available anywhere even near the property - During the stay OYO promised sanitisation in front of my eyes, they didn't even have hand sanitiser anywhere on the property, forget sanitisation. All staff were without masks. So overall, the stay itself was an adventure by itself.
