Mama Bears Den

Stopped in for lunch because we heard that this is the place for good food. My husband and I both had haddock and it was good but little skimpy for the price. My favorite was the potatoe salad! And yes you can go wrong with potatoe salad but MB didn't. Good choice for lunch.

Bishops

We started as a small general store and gas station. Over time we have evolved and we now include a combination of sporting goods, deli, gifts, souvenirs and general merchandise. Our pizza has been described by many customers as the best in Maine. We offer many specialty pizza's such as our ever popular Honey D and BishMac pizza's plus many more. We also have a 100% Angus Beef burger fresh; never frozen... Our kitchen items are sure to fill you up and leave you feeling happy!

Pizza? Check. Breakfast? Check. Camouflage underwear? Check. We stopped here on the way to Quebec City. And the way back. The burger was excellent, and the mozzarella sticks are just great - hot and crispy. The full size BLT would feed four normal people or, I suppose, one hungry snowmobiles. They have great souvenirs, knives of every imaginable kind, boots, sandals, warm hats and mittens, outerwear, groceries, and, of course, the camouflage bras and panties. The people who work here are just so nice and friendly, too. This is now a definite stop for us on the way to Quebec City.

It doesn't look anything special from the outside, but we were pleasantly surprised. There were large helpings of tasty food: the lobster pasta stood out, with a very generous quality helping. Service was friendly and efficient. It looks a good place to go, particularly when there are few other places to choose on the road to the border

We wanted to make it to Quebec before dark and stopped just to grab some sandwiches to go. We were seated and the waiter took our order. There were few people in the restaurant when we came but 20 minutes later almost everybody left and we started to wonder where is our food. It turned out we had to go to the counter and pay but nobody cared to tell us and we could keep waiting forever.
The order was wrong, we got bacon subs instead of chicken. Redoing them took another ten minutes or so. We wasted almost 40 minutes on this "quick stop".
