Beautiful location, good service, sensible prices, great value and - most importantly - excellent food! We both had pastas (gnocchi and ravioli), which we loved. You could tell they were handmade with care. You must also make room for dessert; the chocolate soufflé and chocolate/zucchini cake were delicious! Highly recommended restaurant.

If youâre in the mood for pizza, this spot is very reliable: we ate here twice and both times the different pizzas we ordered were really good. The burrata one with cherry tomatoes was particularly delicious. You can make reservations on-line; in mid-August, that was really helpful as it filled up every night! A shout-out to the clearly overworked staff who were professional, efficient, and really welcoming despite being totally slammed. Lovely place with great staff and great food. I go there mainly for lunch, but, on occasions, dinner. They provide a great range of authentic Italian food, beer, wine and gelato. Staff are well trained and very friendly whilst being professional. You can sit inside or outside taking in the view of the lake. Try the Penne Arribiatta. Sensational.

This was our second dinner at this restaurant. The first time we stayed in a different hotel, but had dinner here one evening. It was so good (and more refined than other restaurants in Varenna) that we wanted to eat here again.We had booked a table in advance and had a lovely dinner on the terrace. The staff is friendly and attentive. This time we opted for a 3 course dinner. On our first visit we took 4 courses and that was too much for us. All courses were very good, especially the chocolate soufle! You can order wines by the glass, by the caraf or the bottle. We ordered some carafs so we could drink white wine with the starter and red with the main dish.

Had lunch on the lovely outside eating area. Very helpful with gluten free options!I had GF pasta with seafood and prawn - my husband and son also had pasta. Drinks lovely as requested. Staff super nice and would recommend!

The view here is incredible, and the maitre d working when we visited was excellent. Unfortunately the rest of the wait staff let this place down. We ordered drinks and mains and our mains arrived before our drinks....we also had a long wait in getting the bill (3 tables were waiting in total to pay). The food was fine and the wine selection very good.

We had lunch here on our arrival day and were so inspired by the lovely combinations on the bruschetta's that we even made them at home as a starter one day. We also had dinner here on another day which was lovely.

We have visited Meridiana for late-lunch during our Lake Como trip. It was out of their working hours, but their friendly stuff said they'll prepare something for us. Me and my wife loved the food they have served and their kindness. Our special thanks to Piera and Erind! If you're in Bellano I definitely recommend to visit this nice place to taste real Italian food and hospitality!

Once again my large group got to experience a truly superb dinner at Il Caminetto.Providing round trip transfer from out hotel in Varenna and then offering up anabundance of food, wine, and conversation. Moreno and Rossella are the consumatehosts! It was a very memorable evening for everyone. If you are visiting Lake Como youshould definitely come here for dinner and also the cooking class. The icing on the cake is that Il Caminetto is a great value.
