Amazing stay
Reviewed By 305eyalsWe enjoyed every minute of our 3 night stay at the hotel . The hotel is spotless, cozy, full of light and tastefully decorated. It is situated approx.. 10 minutes car drive from the city center with a parking place at the entrance to the hotel. The room is very spacious, comfortable and stylish with a lovely view to the hills. The breakfast was tasty with a good selection. And of course the friendly, hospitable staff which are always willing to assist any request with a smile. The hotel is an excellent value for your money We will gladly return and recommend to stay here.

Reviewed By Georgios_KarWe booked a half-board deal via a travel agency and we stayed in a big family room. Nice traditional decoration, very large room even for 4 persons, big bathroom. The room was clean and of good standard. The staff were polite and helpfull. The lobby is quite nice and the restaurant as well. The breakfast has a huge variety of things and it was quite good. The food has also a big variety but it was not that good. Overall a good stay and i wouls stay again with the family.

Reviewed By 629despinamEverything was perfect during our stay. The suite we had booked was large, the bed very good, the bathroom large as well. All the staff were very polite, culminating in the ladies cleaning. The only negative was a strange smell in the room coming from the sewer. We asked to change rooms because the smell was unpleasant. However, in the 2nd room we were transferred to, it had the same unpleasant smell. Also, the indoor pool opened at 12.00 while it could be open from the morning so we can go for a walk later.

Reviewed By dickhartleyAfter a visit in August 2020, I wrote "No praise can be too high! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Ioannina has a complex series of narrow streets and a one way system. we reached the hotel with the help fo WAZE gps, checked in and a staff member jumped into the car and directed my wife to the nearest car park! The room was excellent: spacious and tastefully renovated. The rear courtyard was a lovely location of a pre-dinner drink and for the wonderful breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful." We returned at the end of May2022. All the comments above still apply including the member of staff again going to the car park. If you want to stay in Ioannina, you should stay here!

Reviewed By surya77We loved Ioannina !! Stayed only for I night and chose the Hotel Metropolis which turned out to be a very good and convenient choice. We could easily walk to the Lake , the Castle and all the restaurants of the old town. I have deep respect and admiration for those who choose to restore an old building into something beautiful again. This giving of a new lease of life is so inspiring and in most of the cases it takes alot of effort, work and money to accomplish. The grandfather of the present owner opened the hotel and the present owner, rebuilt the interior almost from scratch while keeping the classical facade. Quite a task!! The result is commendable. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean and the decor is modern and tasteful. Although on a main street, when the windows were closed and the AC was on, there was no noise disturbance. My only problem was the mattress. Although the hotel has Cocomat mattresses, which are amazing usually....and this was one of the reasons I chose the hotel.....my one was in definite need of change! The breakfast, served at the table due to Covid, was exceptional. Everything very fresh and good quality.

Reviewed By panosh416I thought I was in Dubai. Tooooo much gold in the decoration. A typical conference hotel specializes in hosting the MICE traveler segment. As MICE travelers typically spend a large amount of their budget on-site. MICE groups use the hotels' banquet facilities the most. So this one makes no difference. Besides the specialized amenities, it also contains leisure facilities, full-service accommodations, and other amenities. Great morning buffet (local dishes and fresh) and smiley and friendly staff.

Reviewed By Engineer9199We regularly stay in Ioannina and try different hotels, this was our first time at the Atki. The good - great location, 10 minute stroll along the lake into town. Only 10 rooms, we like smaller hotels. Spotlessly clean with staff cleaning all the time we were there. On site parking. Lovely big room, big towels, nice decor. The bad - breakfast was a bit strange. We were the only guests at the time having breakfast. Lady on reception acknowledged us and we sat down and waited.. and waited. The coffee machine was hissing and spitting and making an awful loud noise but no coffee was pouring through. There were tea bags but no hot water. The lady came in and put fresh croissants out on the buffet, played with her long curly hair and then walked back to reception without asking us anything. We had to say “excuse me could we have a coffee please” and she looked surprised. She had to go behind the bar to make a tea and a coffee for us then headed back to reception. (Maybe the waitress was sick and she didn’t want to be there?) Breakfast was the usual carbs but the meat and cheese were under the same tureen and only one set of serving tongs so as a vegetarian I couldn’t have any cheese as it was contaminated by the ham. The toaster was old and rusty and I didn’t want to use it so I just had bread and a croissant. We didn’t eat much, no soya milk, no drink facilities, no hot food, just pastries which the next couple piled on their plates and proceeded to eat with their hands! The ugly - the bathroom was dreadful! The shower door had obviously broken at some point and a crude rail had been hammered up with a rather grubby shower curtain attached. The toilet when flushed sounded like an aircraft was landing, even the tap was noisy. This hotel could be fantastic but needs some TLC. Considering the new boutique hotels springing up in Ioannina for similar prices this hotel seriously needs to buck its ideas up.

Hotel Kastro is a small traditional hotel located inside the old castle of Ioannina. It offers 5 double rooms,1 triple and 1 quadruple. All of the rooms have been recently renovated (entirely new bathrooms, wooden floor, traditionally decorated ceilings, new furnishings, plasma tv, new beds and mattresses, curtains) offering essentially all the conveniences that a modern hotel can offer.

Everything was PERFECT Excellent location, in the heart of Ioannina, you cannot do better ! Located in a paved traditional street, very quite, parking around very easy to find. The hotel is sooooo beautiful, old house fully renovated very modern inside, love the design. We stayed only 1 night (too short I know haha) in a superior room with patio view, very comfortable, spacious, all we needed ! Bed so comfy, bathroom amazing all excellent! The breakfast.... 8 euro is too cheap !!! The breakfast was amazing !!! Homemade cake, dakos, tiro pita, eggs, pancakes, fruit salad, greek yogourt, bread, fresh juice, tea, coffee, ham/cheese, vegetables ! everything we could have ! I was really sad to leave. I am sure I will be back in this city especially to stay again in this hotel ! I don't know what to add more..... just really a big thank you and of course you can book without any hesitation ! :)
