I had dinner here after asking one of the hotels in town for a good restaurant. I guess it's pretty popular among the hotels, because there were quite some tourists for hpa-an standards.
The food and price were fine, only thing is that the service was quite slow. It took a while to get a menu and once I had ordered my food I took almost 45 mins to get my food. Maybe the wait was due to the dish I had ordered (sweet&sour chicken), but I think other people were being prioritized which was not so nice.
I had a good dinner, but would probably look for a different place next time

It may not look like the best place to eat but the food so very good and cheap. We both had chicken fried noodles but they had so much flavour compared to other places we had visited. The beer was also great.

We loved the Veranda. The interior is very pretty, the staff are lovely, the food ranges from very good to excellent. It's a great place to kick back and enjoy.
Some reviewers rightly pointed out that you may wait a bit longer for your order but remember, this is not a fast food joint, and moreover the staff are mostly young people who are not professional waitresses.
We came here several times during our stay in Hpa An and food-wise it was definitely a highlight of our stay.

Vegetarian friendly, and budget friendly too. Home style dishes come with a wide array of condiments - it pays to double check these for meat/allergens. Not the most delicious, but large portions of standard fare.
I rated it above average because most things in Hpa-an were worse. We didn't get sick here and it was fairly clean. They seemed used to dealing with foreigners and adopted a brisk but not unfriendly manner toward us. Consequently I recommend it, where as in another town I might not.

The food at Oscar Restaurant is lovely. We have eaten there on a number of occasions and the quality of the dishes have never disappointed us. The flavours are extraordinary, and the ingredients are always fresh. Zay, the owner, is also a very personable man who speaks both English and Thai... If you are overwhelmed by choices, do what we do and ask Zay to suggest your dishes... we have never been disappointed!

Basically people stay here to do day trips to the beautiful dramatic countryside. The town is noisy, muddy and chaotic. It does have a supermarket though. The river bend is a nice place to watch the sun set, though the use of the river bank for a garbage tip detracts from the experience.

Been there today with 3 others friends, staff was super friendly (turn off the lights, let us put some music and chill out long time after we finished) and dishes of really good quality. And not pricy compared to other similar places around, about 3000 per dish (2.5$).

It's near Kaw-Gone Cave and either on the way to the cave or the way back, we can stop here for the lunch. Few bungalows styles scattering in the compound and the staffs are smiley and helpful. I like papaya salad with spice and it's really fresh and delicious. Can order many dishes there including Phat-Ka-Paung. Good location and a private place to have a good foods here.

Great location, very scenic, about 20 minutes from Hpa An. The room was a small hut were very well appointed, including all the amenities. Swimming pool was available along with a French style restaurant. Although I did not come to Myanmar to eat French cuisine my travelling buddies were very impressed. Breakfast was different each day and delisious. Would recommend highly.

Depend on my one time experience,these restaurant quality was average.For night time customers,restaurant was noisy and no privacy.Staff were friendly and helpful.Wash room also clean.Most food quality were average and price a little bit high for local standard.Overall comment for these restaurant is average.
