A good resort not very far from Kolkata
Reviewed By BPB2012Recently my wife and I had been to this resort which is less than 2 hours drive from the city of Kolkata and is quite popular for spending week ends and organizing company meetings and get togethers. Rooms are large in size and face the river Rupnarayanpur which is a great sight. However upkeep and maintenance would do with some improvement. The resort has large size and small halls for holding meetings and programs. Food at is restaurant was of fair standard. The very large area of the resort with big lawns and well maintained garden give an attractive look to the resort.

Excellent hotel
Reviewed By 201DASI stayed there for 3 days , & it's clean & hygienic measuring covid norm . Front office Mr Saurabh & on housekeeping Mr Kismet Ali they were very much responsive. I feel its a best in howrah even better than fortune panchwati where previously I used to stay. Good connectivity on its on main mumbai highway.Even surrounding good restaurant.

Reviewed By CaptainBasuWe took a day trip to Kolaghat on a flash decision. What came out was a mixed bag of experiences. This is an unbiased review highlighting the pros and cons you need to know before you visit, . The Pros & Cons are: Various people have mixed behaviours, and the support staff are far more cordial than senior managers here. Maintenance: Room maintenance is poor, but rooms are good. Lawn and property are kept clean, no complaints. We were taken to an unclean room at first, but on complaining, it was changed. Pool Pool is simply heavenly, especially in the rain. We had a great time there. Food Food quality is poor and stale, even though there are many people in the resort. The crispy corn clearly gave us a stale flavor. This was a complaint heard from others who stayed here as well. Plus we found that the food was served soon after we ordered, making us suspect if the food was pre-cooked. Breakfast (not buffet) has a few options only (Bread-jam/Uttapam/Puri-Bhaji) which were all freshly cooked. Food prices are average to high, we paid about Rs.3000 for three persons for dinner only. We had lunch outside. Prices Prices are unreasonable, people are charged very differently and the management does not care if you come or not (at least right now). Disappointing Pre-visit communication A few days back a friend had visited and stayed at Rs. 3300 all in (with breakfast) for 3 persons. When we called we were asked to pay Rs. 6000 or 6500 for two room categories. When we pointed out the discrepancy the GM was not bothered even to explain. He told us "We may have given for free also, but this is the best price for you now", and he said we must have confused with some other resort, but later confirmed this was the same resort when we showed him pictures from our friends visit. We were calling to book on the same day when we came but the GM of the resort did not really care whether anyone comes or not. They have many people coming at this time and don't need to talk much about it. However, times change and the attitude of the GM was not helping. The attitude was quite clear ... No body cares whether you're there or not. Rooms & maintenance Initially we were taken to Rm 201 which was not cleaned, finally We stayed in Room 203 for one night and this room is really good. TV had free channels only, AC was good, Telephone in some rooms do not work(which we found out later from other boarders), but from this room the phone was ok. Room service was fast and there was Mr Deepak (staff member) who kept asking us for well being, leaving a good impression. Sadly we missed him next morning when we came out. Check in/check out was simple. Thats all guys. That's my experience for this place

Yuck....Dirty toilets, run down rooms, mosquito infestation,stagnating pool
Reviewed By 755debashisgI had the misfortune of attending a wedding ceremony over here in November 2019. The place is infested with mosquitoes and bugs, the pool has a visible layer of insects floating on top. The common urinals are arguably the worst I have ever seen. The run down dirty rooms are hosted in a dilapidated building like a haunted building with a swarm of mosquitoes waiting to greet you in the elevator. The rooms are huge but dirty without towels. The property is huge and is designed well but in its current state of disrepair, it is not fit for conducting hospitality business. The municipality should force these guys to drain the swimming pool if they cannot filter the water. Pictures of the toilets have been attached for your reference.

Reviewed By vomragnborgWe crashed here for the night, went in around 2 am and checked out the next morning, so not much time to fully explore. From what little time we had, it looks like a hospital converted to hotel, layout was confusing. Rooms were big with all amenities, had good sleep. Breakfast was below average, while going to the restaurant for breakfast the staff insisted that I settle the bill first. It was weird, as if we would run away after eating.

Luxurious stay but a bit costly
Reviewed By SaddviAndalwalaI stayed for 1 night at this lodging facility. The AC worked well and the caretaker was responsive. He made all arrangements to make my stay comfortable. However, charges were put in the bill for each and every minute service, including providing hot water in the morning.

Average Hotel with noisy neighborhood
Reviewed By Vishal_8289The area around the hotel is very noisy and not so clean. Rooms and food are good. I think it is not appropriate for family stay. In amenities, basic thing like toothpaste (worth 5 rs) was not provided and we had to purchase from outside in the morning.

Reviewed By nmnmnm123worst experience of my life...on the way from chennai to assam reading good reviews me and our family went to book this hotel on oyo,s recomendation,...after reaching we were surprised,,we saw that its small hotel with a bar at the entrance.....an uneducated bar tender works like a manager with a rude voice and filthy behaviour...there is no proper car park also ....we were told that once marriage funtion finishes then only we can park our car at midnight after 1 am..and we were told rudely that is it is basically a marriage party,s hotel .not kept basically for normal customers...we had to leave the place quickly as drunkardsnear the reception were looking at me and the family in a horrible way. GUYS...BE ALERT..HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN.
