Superb resort
Reviewed By cate445The Village Holiday Club in Koutouloufari is superb. It is small and quaint, tucked in the hills. Very quiet, although we were there at the end of the season. The Village itself is a bustling hive of activity with more restaurants and bars than you could possibly visit in 2 weeks. Hersonissos town is a 15 minute downhill walk where you can find more shops, bars and lovely beaches as well as children's entertainment. Highly recommend this resort. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly always ready with a tip or 2 another to go and what to see. Recommend getting a car to explore the island or chase the sun if the clouds linger on the mountain

Reviewed By RoufnchoudhuryWe went for 10 days and stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom with a massive balcony and views of the beauty sea and mountains. The accommodation was perfect; clean, safe and very spacious. The staff were extremely hospitable and the manager/owner, Anna, was so kind and helpful. The villas are set against the backdrop of wonderful mountains and in a peaceful residential area called Piskopiano. It’s a stones throw away from the picturesque village called Koutouloufari - there you’ll find boutique shops, a diverse range of excellent restaurants and more. The villas have access to 2 pools and 2 bar/restaurants. You really will not be disappointed - we had a magical time with our 3 kids. I have attached pictures of both Piskopiano and Koutouloufari Village.

Reviewed By Passenger673160We have been before back in 2019, we booked for the year after but we were delayed by COVID, we managed to get back end of May for two weeks and what a two weeks we had! The rooms are basic, but they are comfortable, but there’s so much to do and see that you won’t spend much time in them apart from sleeping, the rooms are very clean with the maid visiting almost every day with fresh linens and towels. It’s a small place with a fantastic pool, you will never have to worry about finding a sunbed. The bar is fantastic, offering a great range of English alcohol and the local beer is refreshing and light, just what we needed after a day quad biking and sun bathing, the bar offers a few snacks like toasted sandwiches, pizza and fries. Ben the barman is fantastic, he looks after everything and nothing is too much trouble, we had a few take aways delivered to the bar when we didn’t fancy going out for food, great value and delicious. The local village is 10 mins walk and there are many beautiful restaurants and shops to pick up necessities. If you fancy a more lively night out, star beach is a 15 min walk, loads to do and places to eat too. The guests we shared our holiday with absolutely made our holiday, we had a fantastic BBQ while we stayed too, so much food, all locally sourced and cooked to perfection, all guests are welcome at the BBQ and we had a fabulous evening. If you like a bit of banter and a Raki, Ben absolutely makes this place, it’s a firm favourite for us and we will be frequent guests in the future. Many historical places to visit easily accessible by public transport, we hired a quad and had a fab time finding places to snorkel, there are some great excursions available in the local village too that are priced fairly, we did a 4hr boat trip and it was amazing!

Great experience in Elychryson
Reviewed By laurageearMy friend and I loved staying here for a week in August. The rooms are huge, clean and modern. It is only a 5 minute walk to all the bars and restaurants. The owner is so lovely and helpful and was available on Whatsapp. We didn't really use the pool as it was in the shade in the afternoon but the beach is less than 5 minutes walk. There is also a good size Spar and other supermarket closeby (at the petrol station). I would definitely recommend this hotel, we loved our stay in Hersonissos.

The apartments are smartly located, just 2 minutes away from the closest beach, the local market center, the restaurants and bars. The 15 spacious and cozy apartments and suites are fully equipped summer houses. They are refurbished in summer style and are very comfortable. Their Cretan hosts are ready to initiate all guests to the Cretan hospitality and will do their best to make their staying in Crete, as comfortable and beautiful as it gets!

Reviewed By nicolasdO2923QDThe family holding the hotel is very lovely, gentle and helpful. The apartment was very clean and spacious, bed very comfortable. Located in a side street, one is not disturbed at all by the busy and loud marina area, which is very valuable; though the marina is only 200m away, so quite a good location if you prefer quietness to sea view. Really, an enjoyable and quiet stay, with no noticeable issue - wifi jumps out from time to time but it is not really a major problem! Strongly recommended if you want to stay at piece in a secure place, covid safety measures well in place, compared to other hotels in Hersonissos.

The apartment owners from day 1 made us feel very welcome and went out their way to continuously to make sure our stay the best it could be. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels changed regularly and the aircon worked very well. Both the hotel and restaurant/bar had good WiFi also. The restaurant/bar is owned by Stavros who’s customer service is 10/10.. he always went out his way to ensure we were happy and always had a smile on his face. We will miss the hosts here at golden dream and can’t wait to return.
