Hanau is a town in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis, in Hesse, Germany. It is located 25 km east of Frankfurt am Main. Its station is a major railway junction and it has a port on the river Main, making it an important transport centre. The town is known for being the birthplace of Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm and Franciscus Sylvius. Since the 16th century it was a centre of precious metal working with many goldsmiths. We arrived shortly before 8 pm on a Sunday night. All of our first choices were done for the day. We ended up with very good food and friendly service. Next time we will go earlier.

I had eaten here on several occasions.The restaurant is in the Altstadt of Hanau, a small but nice area wih several restaurants.
Opens very early and there tends to be a lot of people.
Dishes are german style, lot's of it but quality wise not that good. What is good about this restraurant is the atmosphere, large tables where people join for dinner or a drink.
Service is quick and very friendly, with some good advice ("don't take the salad as a starter, there is one with the main dish") something that would be impossible in many places, let's say in France for example...
Price is one of the cheapest in the area.

After a long day tour in Hessen (Alsfeld-> Fulda- Steinau), then we back to Hanau for a dinner. The restaurant in front of a nice platz, I think it's very cozy have a lunch here. We ordered a Chicken schnitzel and Apfelbratwurst mit Kartorffel! very tasty and a good price. Will come back next tume. :)

It has become a tradition among the interns of Evonik in nearby Hanau, Wolfgang to spend a relaxing evening at Cubana every Wednesday night. Cubana is conveniently located right off Freiheitsplatz and features many German beers with tacos, fajitas, nachos, and some really amazing burgers. The burgers are discounted on Wednesday's and the atmosphere is great for a small break in the middle of the work week. The restaurant has some of the best food in the downtown Hanau area and be sure to make a reservation if you plan on arriving at meal times. Definitely a great place to eat and drink!

We came to this restaurant on a afternoon and enjoyed sitting in the garden. We've been 6 people and ordered different dishes. The pastas, salads and meat were really good, but we never had such a tasteless pizza at an Italian restaurant. Service was typically charming and friendly. The variety of drinks and wines is very good and we enjoyed our dinner.

Das Rincon gibt es schon seit vielen Jahren.
Parkplätze sind vorhanden, der Service ist sehr freundlich.
Es empfehlen sich die zahlreichen Vorspeisen. Lecker!
Allerdings wird viel Öl verwendet, was nicht jedermanns Geschmack ist und wirklich günstig ist das Rincon auch nicht.

I had a schnitzel here and it was superb. Service was okay. The environment was a little too hipster for me, but some folks are into that. Prices are high - you're paying for the location I suppose, except that it's in Hanau: is the city center really a prime location? This seems like more of a restaurant for Sachsenhausen, but maybe it can catch on.
