A brisk stroll and then inside for a warmchocolademelk and slagroom ( hot choc with cream)..
Then followed up with a flamkucken ( thin pizza bottom ) parma ham caviar of tomato onions and creme fraiche just excellent, the broodje gezond is also a good choice if you want something more simple . A nice place for a nice lunch, in the summer the service can be quite slow but when you are sitting outside watching the water then just order another drink and enjoy..

During our stay in hotel near this restaurant, we decided to have dinner here. The menu looked very good. We ordered crispy chicken wings and fried shrimps for starters and two steaks for maincourse.
The crispy chicken wings were not crispy at all. The wings were covered with fat. This dish didnt taste good and our comment about this'was not handled as we expected.
The steaks were very decent and so were the Deserts. Staff overall was friendly.

Uitstekende locatie om te stoppen tijdens bijvoorbeeld een fietstocht en een hapje te gaan eten, het eten is goed als ook de bediening.

On a Saturday evening in April we had a diner in this place. The interior is rather dark, but you also have a choice of about 10 tables in front of this grand-café in a nice glass closed veranda. We had a table near the window with a perfect view on the church; only two other tables were occupied with other guests. The menu has sufficient choice, good meat and fish courses, even some vegetarian starters and main dishes.
A friendly waiter explained us the possibility of choosing 3 courses for € 21,50; a price you often pay in other restaurants for only a main course. We had two times a tasty pepper soup, a vegetarian wrap and pike-perch (snoekbaarsfilet) as main course and twice ice-cream with warm cherries. Summarizing: a good place you leave with a smile because of the quality and the friendly price.

We passed by mid afternoon and it wasn't very busy. The menu had quite a variety of pancakes and other items on it.
We picked a bacon, cheese and apple pancake. It was delicious! Also add syrup.
They have a playground for kids.
Easy parking and fast service.
I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Redelijk gegeten samen, voorgerecht was niet geheel in overeenstemming met omschrijving op de kaart. Miste bv de zontomaatjes en de pesto. Soep was goed. Hoofdgerecht vlees was stevig en kool was gekruid met veel oregano. Dessert van keuze: tarte tarten bleek niet voorradig dus gekozen voor koffie. Toch werd daar een dessertwijntje bijgezet want dat zat in het arrangement. Koffie ging vergezeld van enorme suikerpot en 4 fabrieks bonbons. 1 goede was wellicht beter. Prijs: zeer redelijk. Personeel: zeer vriendelijk maar onervaren.

This restaurant is located in the centre of Haaksbergen at the market. The building has a lot of history. Together with the restaurants "de watermolen" and "blanckenborgh" this is a premium restaurant in this area. The restaurant has a traditional old style, looks very good. Has enough space though. The service is open and very friendly. They make sure you feel at home. It has varous types of menus to offer, and the food is of very good quality, comes with enough side dishes. i go a few times a years. Specially with good weather, cause you could sit outside.

Been here once before. Both times were GREAT! I will include 2 pictures, but it was fairly dim in the dining rooms, so they will be a little grainy.
We had a Groupon for a 3 course meal with an optional 4th for 10 bucks extra. I picked the extra course as well. Everything was Great!
In the pics, one was Deer and the other was the dessert.

We bestelden een cappuccino en Radler bier. Het was er heerlijk zitten op het rustige terras. We werden heel vlot en plezierig bediend. De cappuccino was royaal en smaakte heerlijk. En... Was vergezeld van een heerlijk stukje zelfgebakken brownie. En dat voor 2,20€. Wat wil je nog meer?!
