I normally travel by myself but this time I travelled with my family. My biggest concern is always safety. I got two separate rooms which were on separate floors. I slept by myself and I felt very safe. If you’re a female traveler I highly recommend this place. It was impeccably clean, the staff are insanely kind, and it’s in a great location. It’s located in the heart of downtown. It was such a great experience being able to stay here. Out of all the places I’ve travelled this was by far my favorite stay.

Hotel para pasar la noche

Reviewed By Lizeth M

Bahia La Tortuga Fishing Lodge

If your looking for the closest thing to a Time Machine than look no further. Beautiful Beaches without a single footprint on them. Fish that have never seen a Lure and People that live a simple life that revolves around the Ocean. Escape with us once and you’ll dream of returning. Thanks, John

Where to even begin... John (the owner) was in phone contact the entire time making sure our trip was as smooth as possible and if we needed anything. That right there is above and beyond. The grounds of the lodge are beautiful and inviting. Laura and Lupe bent over backwards for us and were absolutely amazing. Laura works from dark to dark to make sure everything is perfect. Lupe cooked fantastic meals and even went out of her way to make additional items for some other guests. The fishing was great and back to the basics. I went to catch roosters and that is exactly what we did. All the guests were amazing and made some new friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. Thank you to John, Laura, Lupe, Alejandro and Jesus for a great trip and will definitely book to go back again...

Corky Carroll's Surf Adventures

Come and stay with Corky and his lovely wife Raquel at their home on the beautiful tropical beach of La Saladita, Mexico. Located just 35 minutes north of Ixtapa and 45 minutes north of Zihautanejo along Mainland Mexico’s most fertile surf coastline, right at one of the premier left hand point breaks in the world. The home is beachfront, with a swimming pool, television, internet (bring a laptop) and three guest rooms available. Bookings are available from one to six people per stay. You are provided with lodging, all your meals and drinks, personal surf coaching one on one from Corky, if desired, and pick up and drop off in Zihautanejo. Let us know your eating and drinking preferences and we will customize your stay to insure you the perfect vacation. The house staff will take incredible care of you. This is a very romantic setting and is a great destination for couples as well as surfers in search of a great surf adventure. As options we can also arrange for massages, day trips to historical sites and other activities that are available in the area. We also have a number of surfboards and SUP’s available for our guests at no extra charge. (NEW: we can build you a custom CORKY CARROLL SPACESTICK and have it ready when you get here, with enough notice. Info and prices available) This is a chance of a lifetime to hang out and surf with one of the true legends of surfing as well as experience one of the most beautiful and tranquil spots on the planet. It is an amazing trip for surfers and non-surfers alike.

I love this place and its relaxed vibe, great meals & low key surf friends

Reviewed By Nelson_Wellss

My cousin and I do duo surf trips and this is his favorite place, so I joined him. Corky is a one of a kind host and story teller, and old school gentleman, and Raquel's meals are to die for. Now, don't get it into your head that this is 5 star luxury; it's a surf house with salty sticky air, rusty fans and questionable "linens" but it meets all the requirements of staying on the water at a great surf break and not just because of the rental boards for use, the carefree use of the house kitchen pool and deck area, but the meals, the neighbors and Their stories, the hammocks, sun, salt, sea and swims and the big sweet dogs. We met multiple different groups of travelers as well, from surfers to families to groups of women from around the world. If you can take a grain of salt I highly recommend this over any other. I'll be back again this year.

Los Portales Acapulco Hotel

IT DOES HAVE BIG GATES,THOUGH!

Reviewed By SUNSKYWALKER

The hotel is average priced, eppure it does have average rooms and service. Even though the staff are very helpful and try to make it all right for you, they seem not to be trained into the tourist industry. Yet, the one thing Mexicans do count on is enormous kindness and people just fall in love with this trait. In spite of the conditions of the room my girlfriend and I decided to take, it was a few steps away from the beach in the area called "La Zona Dorada" and just across the main avenue in the Acapulco Bay and all the bars and trendy places. It was all in all a good spot to stay in. And a nice start to show neophites to Acapulco!

The Puesta del Sol

One sweet getaway

Reviewed By Scott L

This is our 2nd stay here, last time two years ago and it has only gotten better. If you like to avoid resorts and all inclusives and live with screens on the windows, fans instead of air conditioning and wake up every morning to watch the surf roll in without even getting out of bed, this is the place for you. In the last two years many improvements have been made with the owners, Ray and Malury, now living here full time and this little piece of paradise has only gotten better. The large suite is a treat, with king size bed and a fully equipped kitchen, tiled floors and a lovely patio and view. The grounds are well maintained with a great garden with paths next door, a main area under a palapa roof with hammocks, a full time groundskeeper, (Yoni) and Bruna who cleans the room 3 times a week. Basic, comfy, cosy and very welcoming. Love this place and the family feeling.

Casa de la Montana

Enclosed by nature, with an amazing ocean view Casa de la montana is the best place to enjoy the Mexican Pacific Ocean. Nestled in tranquil surrounds; Casa de la Montaña presents, stunning 4 gorgeous rooms with private terrace and amazing ocean and jungle views. A short walk separates you from the most beautiful bay of the area. Take pleasure at the warm ocean, and enjoy the surf breaks that the zone offers.

A place where comfort, nature, privacy and harmony comes together

Reviewed By Daniel___8211

I really enjoyed my stay at "casa de la montana" due to many reasons: be woken up by the gentle sound of the waves, drive the polaris ranger car to the nearest beaches, surf, buy fresh fish from the fishermen, come back to the house & enjoy a typical mexican breakfast, have a nap in a hammock, read a nice book, drink a margarita, have a swim in the pool, because it was winter we had as well the opportunity to see the whales. However my favorite part of the day was around 19hrs because from the house you have an amazing view of the sunset. At the end our day was over by having a dinner with a nice wine under the starry sky. At night I will also recommend to go to a local pub/bar to get to know the locals & other visitors.

Bungalows Vepao

Best little Bungalows is Zihua

Reviewed By MsMK

I am completely enamored with Vepao. The staff are incredible and attentive. The rooms are older, but still clean. The view is breathtaking. I got married next door at La Perla and didn’t 10 days at Vepao. It could not have been more perfect. Each room has a mini kitchenette and a balcony. Ours had the best view. If you want the Hilton, this isn’t that, but if you want a great experience at a comfortable hotel this is it. The restaurant is a bit pricy, but the chef is good and the wait staff are kind and helpful.
