Great place to stay
Reviewed By TravelerT1111We travel to Guatemala City a few times a year, this was our first stay at the Hyatt. Rudy greeted us and walked us up the Lobby (note - you have to take the elevator UP to the "L" floor in order to check in, it's not the main level of the building). Rudy was so friendly and took great care taking our heavy suitcases right to the room for us. All the staff were friendly, the roof pool is heated and has great seating options. We did not take the breakfast as we had an early flight out (it says included here on Trip Advisor, but it was in fact, was not included). The rooms were very nice, with lots of personal touches. I liked the free unlimited bottled water, slippers and robes, and toiletries. There was even a scale in the room but I was not brave enough to step on it! Very modern and stylish rooms. The area is fantastic. Attached to a mall with a good dive British pub across the street, PF Changs in the building, Starbucks just a block away, and many good restaurants nearby. We walked around into the night and always felt safe. Side note - we tried to get an Uber to the airport and that took us 40 minutes. Most of the Ubers were too small to accommodate our luggage (just 2 suitcases), so plan accordingly. If I had known, we would have saved time and caught 2 Ubers, or spoken with the front desk in advance about our options. The drive itself to the airport was just over 10 minutes.

Great location, rooms and staff!

We love the location for shopping, dining, bowling, etc. A few covid things - the pool was easy to schedule with the spa desk and we were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub, ping pong supplies were still available at spa desk, executive lounge is closed which we were initially disappointed about - but buffet is included instead (which was wonderful!). The airport pickup was difficult to schedule due to the website not accepting USA credit cards, but the front desk was able to assist. Our scheduled ride to the airport was on time for our 4am departure and very pleasant! Housekeeping was perfect, as always! Our room was comfy and clean. Thank you for being so kind and consistent at the front desk over the years!

Perfect Hotel to stay in Guatemala
Reviewed By Sonia SI have so many good things to write about this wonderful hotel. The staff is so polite and friendly they really make you feel welcome! The rooms are modern and very comfortable (bathroom has a good size and it has a separate shower and bathtub) the food is amazing!!!(see pictures) I sadly stayed only for one night but I would definitely stay again at this hotel next time I comeback to beautiful Guatemala!

Reviewed By allanaN2259NXNot suitable for business travelers more for tourists. Unable to conduct meetings in the public areas (business , lounge, or patio). If you plan to relax or have a casual business discussion it will be very difficult. My clients (locals) and myself repeatedly asked for the music to be turned down, even slightly. We were told by the staff it was not possible as per management policy. It was to create an atmosphere to attract street business to the bar. The patio was impossible to sit out on as the large speakers are directly over your head. There are better hotels in the area which are more suitable. Best for tourists for a stop over.
