Irapuato is a Mexican town (and municipality) located at the foot of the Arandas Hill (in Spanish: cerro de Arandas), in the south central region of the state of Guanajuato. It lies between the Silao River and the Guanajuato River, a tributary of the Lerma River, at 1,724 m (5,656 ft) above sea level. It is located at 20°40′N 101°21′W / 20.667°N 101.350°W / 20.667; -101.350. The city is the second-largest in the state (only behind León), with a population of 342,561 according to the 2005 census, while its municipality has a population of 529,440. The municipality has an area of 845.16 km² (326.32 sq mi) and includes numerous smaller outlying communities. The city's main industry is agriculture and it is famous for its strawberries and the raising of pigs and cattle. The fruits and flowers of Irapuato's luxurious gardens are well known throughout Mexico.

I have only eaten there a few times this trip...the food is usually pretty good...steaks are decent and service is ok..the restaurant just needs a bit of fixing up...i dont think anything has been upgraded since i first started coming to Irapuato in 2009. There are some new top quality restaurants in Irapuato..places like this will be left behind if they dont get with the times

It is always a great pleasure to go to Con Sabor A Cafe. Service and food are great. I split my drink on the table and floor. Waiter was so nice to help me to clean the mess and made not a big deal. Ufh! It made me felt better after that embarrassing situation. Food was tasty. Carrot cake was unbelievable, pretty good. Reasonable price for the great crepas. You won't be disappointed.

This is a very good restaurant for fish and seafood in Irapuato. The service is excellent. The food was very good. The salmon was incredibly good. All of the food at our table was fresh and well prepared. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Took my folks to Bixa to celebrate dad's 75th birthday and we were very impressed. The service was professional and attentive. The food was excellent, everything we had, from the complimentary amuse to dessert was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The wine list has a huge selection of Mexican wine, outstanding! Will definitely visit again next time we're in Irapuato.

Irapuato is a city that comes alive during the month of November during an important agriculture expo and most of restaurants business comes from this expo. During our specific visit they were understaffed and took too much time trying to push recommendations rather than listening to what we needed. They had great food, yet the service needs help. I would have gone with a higher rating if the service could have been improved.

From the same people who own and operate El Argentino, comes Messina. The food is very good in general and the service is excellent. I've dined there a couple of times now and I've never been disappointed. The wine list has some notable Mexican wines and they serve wines at the proper temperature, something unusual in Mexico. One of the best restaurants in town. On the pricey side for locals, but quite affordable for tourists from the US.
