The name is credited to the Brahmin immigrants who migrated to the Konkan via Magadha in Gangetic India from Āryāvarta, in the north-western part of the Indian sub-continent. Bardez or more properly Bara (twelve) desh (country) means "twelve countries" (or lands). The form "country" probably refers to clan territorial limits, or to the Brahmin comunidades, of which the twelve, in no particular order, are Aldona, Moira, Olaulim, Nachinola, Siolim, Anjuna, Candolim, Serula, Saligao, Sangolda, Assagao and Pomburpa

Fusion food between North American and French style, Operational always between 1st November to April 2nd week....Credit card machine is available for transaction...
We called into this place after reading about it on TA. As most people have said, the food here is very good and a very different choice when compared with most other establishments in these parts, but certainly, quite a lot more expensive than most other restaurants too. The service was attentive and the owner was present and very pleasant to talk to. We really enjoyed our visit, (although they do need to check out how to make a Margarita cocktail).thank you for visiting...we will do our best next....

The garlic bread, fresh watermelon juice and chocolate shake is a must try. For sunset this place is amazing...gets lil hot in the afternoon.the seating is way too small so plan accordingly. The shopping market is right outside the cafe. They have a place to park the car. The beach is 1 min walk.

Dear all, LA PLAGE RE-OPENS - EVERY YEAR - with new dishes on our menu AND a new decoration, from the LAST WEEK of NOVEMBER till MID-END of APRIL, 7 days a week - from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM (welcoming our last customers for the evening). Thank you, cheers a
La Plage is such a wonderful place to eat. The food is superb, the waiting staff are very good and the wine is chilled. Try the grilled mackerel & watermelon or the tuna fillet with wasabi mash, both are delicious. If youâre craving a steak youâll get the perfect fix with a lush fillet of beef cooked as rare as you like. Remember to leave room for the chocolate thali, a very special dessert. The setting is truly wonderful, an eclectic art collection fills the space alongside unusual light fittings and a deep well full of cat fish. Itâs a chic, laid back place that we enjoyed many times during our stay at Ashvem beach â for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
