What an amazing place!! Absolutely a stunning environment that is worth the drive! You will feel in paradise and hardly believe how idyllic it is. Excellent food too, lobsters and fish! Try to organize a bit in advance to make sure you have the best available from the market. Not sure it is a good idea to promote publicly this hidden gem :)

Lovely Place

Spent a lovely long weekend here exploring the Volta region and decompressing from the hubbub of Accra. Lovely vegan food and good music provided by our host BB in a nice, quiet setting not far from a sleepy small town.

Blue Diamond Beach Spa Resort

Exceeded expectations

Reviewed By Intrepidbirdlady

I fell in love with this adorable resort online. It sounded like a quiet and peaceful place, and there was the sea, just what I needed after all the hard work and stress of the Covid19 pandemic. My husband and I, along with one teenager, were not disappointed. Really, we cannot fault this beautiful place, about 2hours away from Accra Airport by car. The calm sea view was amazing, the breeze was soothing and the beach is great for walks. The chalet was clean and we slept well. Service was excellent and all the young men helping us were polite. The idea of using whatsapp to contact the managers is ingenious. There are swings and hammocks on the beach for family fun. We were served the best fresh coconuts I’d ever had. That was my best bit. As much as I’d like to keep this lovely place a secret from everyone, I cannot help but recommend it. It totally exceeded our expectations. Our only regret was staying for just one night.

Emancipation Beach Camp

A rustic beach camp on the shoreline in Keta. We have beach huts with communal wash facilities. A few minutes walk from the fort, market and lagoon. Come and relax, drink beer, swim in the sea and enjoy dinner at our restaurant.

Great view, good food

This is the sister beach camp to Maranatha and it has a similar feel. The rooms are basic but clean, the washing facilities are communal but this place is on the shoreline. The sound of the sea is a great way to fall asleep. The menu here is very good with a mix of good Ghanaian dishes and some Western staples - the fish was good as was the chicken light soup. It is a good idea to pre-order your food as it can take a while to be prepared Don't come expecting luxury but if you like laid back rustic beach camps this is the place for you

Quiet place

Reviewed By Cynthia V

We wanted to stay at Dreamland which looked closed down and deserted. Instead we stayed next door in this big, but except for us, empty beach resort for one night. The staff and manager were very helpful and friendly. We got breakfast for 10 Cedi and lunch about 15 C. The room we slept in was a 6 ppl dorm with three double beds, two toilets (no seats) and a shower for 80 Cedi in total. The room was basic but so close to the ocean that you could hear the waves and feel the breeze. There were three working fans in the room, no AC. The beach is cleaner than the public parts left and right of it but still we didn't feel like swimming there. The manager organized a boat trip for us on the river as well as the transport there and back on moto taxis. All in all recommendable for backpackers. But not that easy to reach. Make sure you bring enough money as the last ATM is at the Ada junction.
