Gdansk Bed and Breakfast Inns | Places to Stay in Gdansk

May 2, 2023 Agatha Simes

One of Poland’s most beautiful cities, Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea, has played major roles in history, especially in the 20th-century. It was the 1939 flash point of World War II, and then in 1980, the birthplace of the Solidarnosc labor movement, ushering the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe. Gdansk’s Old Town, painstakingly reconstructed to its Hanseatic League glory after being leveled in World War II, is a highlight. The 14th-century Town Hall houses the city’s historical museum.

Great restaurant 5-10 minutes by walk, grocery stores 15-20 minutes by walk. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area of Sobieszewo Island, up to 30 minutes walk through the forest to the beautiful sandy beaches. A quiet place in really nice sorroundings. Very easy to find and staff are very friendly. The kitchen has lots of supply’s and is good for if you want to cook your own food. It is in a prime location, within walking distance from the centre of Gdańsk. The walls are a little thin but with earplugs or earphones I can’t complain

Trip to Gdansk.

Reviewed By David C

This hotel is very reasonably priced and offers high quality accomodation in a very modern building. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. The hotel is near to a bus stop with direct links to the city center which take a mere 15 minutes. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and is in a buffet style. There is plenty of free parking on site. I just make one comment which is that the curtains could be thicker in the bedrooms because they did not really block much light. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Very clean room, overall hotel was really clean and tastefully decorated. 20 minutes walk into town, which suited us, but if you want amenities a bit nearer this may not suit. Area peaceful and pleasant. We would definitely come back again!

Noisy

Reviewed By Andy B

We were disappointed with this hotel in several ways. At first we were pleased with the location but there was a downside to this at night, when it was very noisy. Drunken revellers and a guitarist with two speakers still playing at 1am, the very old windows cut none of the sound out. Our room was in the attic and there were quite a few flights of stairs to get up there, fortunately we didn't have large luggage. We were there for three nights and although the towels were changed each day, the bed was never made, I have never known this in a hotel before. Breakfast was next door in a cafe, it was quite good but there was no choice.
