Stunning location, lovely apartments

After having stayed in some of Crete's towns, the relaxing surroundings, beautiful beach, and calm atmosphere were exactly what we wanted. The apartment (two bedroom) was clean and had all the amenities needed for a self-catering place, however there are three great tavernas in short walking distance. The view was sensational, and we spent most evenings watching the sunset from our terrace. The beach was directly in front of the apartment, and was spotlessly clean, and fairly empty. There is a hill and some steps down to the beach, but nothing too taxing. Special shoutout to the gorgeous Eleni on reception, who was so lovely and helpful, and even very kindly gifted us a lovely bottle of local wine when she realised we had got engaged during our trip! None of the bigger, higher-star hotels we visited provided such great customer service, which is invaluable.

Kallicrates Village is located in a most scenic location, enjoying the background of the White Mountains and the Libyan sea ahead. This newly built small studio hotel offers just 10 studios. Simply furnished, spacious and airy studios are surrounded by large garden areas - wonderfully green and well kept. The pool bar at the sizable swimming pool is just the place to enjoy breakfast and perhaps refreshments. All studios have air conditioning/heating, a kitchenette (equipped for cooking), a bathroom with shower.

Reviewed By Christian RWhat a great place!! A calm and quiet place Ideal for family holidays! Rooms were spacious and clean . Close to the beach and restaurants. Fantastic views from the balcony overlooking the beach and the Fragocastello( castle.) Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Good walking nearby, quiet place ,no crowds.See you next summer..Thank you all.

Back Again to this beautiful place
Reviewed By 571j_r_melI stayed several times there and if I keep coming back it is for good reasons: apartments are big, quiet new, clean, well thought, the sea view is amazing, nothing better than sleeping with the sound of the waves, it is close from every facilities (restaurant/supermarket, beaches...), there are many gorges (canyons) in the area. The owner is not often in the place but he is very available by phone, mail and the most smart and honest hotel's owner I saw on this beautiful island. The wi-fi is just the best I had in Crete, period! Prices are more than reasonable. If you plan to go in the area it is definitely THE place to stay. As I always say in my comment, I stayed in hundred of hotels in Crete and I warmely recommend this hotel.

Taverna restaurant with rooms next to the sea. Apartments with large Swimming pool and 2 restored village houses. Set close to the sea in south Crete in unspoilt region. Excellent traditional food, caters for couples, families and groups.

Reviewed By demetriod393We already knew the place, having been there 3 years ago but alas things are not improved, sure they are worse, warm welcoming in a hot afternoon, downside was that the room was occupied by another couple! The man at desk, waiter, multitasking young could have been working well in a Charlot movie not in an hotel or restaurant, the owner was rude and unpolite, treated very badly the young and insisted we ordered for dinner the priciest food, saying other dishes were "sold out" at 9 p. m.! There was a lack of electricity in the morning so we couldn't use the bathroom and in the meanwhile the staff sit chatting, smoking and sipping cold coffee, end of the story I'd better give 0 stars, avoid it definitively
