Sharon at reception was an amazing host and she even dropped me off to my morning meeting as I could not find a taxi. She was a star! Highly recommended hotel.

A lovely B&B in beautiful surroundings

After struggling what to get my husband for his birthday I decided on a weekend away which would include a R.S.P.B as we both enjoy visiting them. After searching on Google I found Edale Vale b&b in the lovley Forest of Dean with R.S.P.B on the doorstep.. Anyway we arrived to a warm welcome from the owners Peter & Jane . Peter led us to the lounge and made us a much needed cup of tea and explained how to order breakfast for the next day and about the bar where you can help yourself and just write what you had and your rm number o n a pad they leave in the bar . He also gave some leaflets of places to visit and list of places to eat . We decided to eat next door a pub called the woodsman which was good they do nice fish n chips very much recommended . The next morning we had really good cooked breakfast to set us up for the day . That evening we decided to go a place called Lyndy a biggish town not to far away and found a nice Thai restaurant called NG THAI FOOD very much recommended it . As for the b& b it's the bedroom was very nice decorated and comfortable and a nice view to and I really took a liking to the photos of the local places they really good . So I like to say thank Peter and Jane for a enjoyable stay and we definitely like to come back as we found much more to do and see the forest of Dean .

The Butchers Arms

Perfect

Reviewed By Lapine006

A really well thought-out room: spotlessly clean, with everything you need, and very friendly staff. I previously stayed at a well-known and much more expensive hotel nearby - the Butcher's Arms was far more welcoming! There is a bit of noise - as you would expect - until closing time, so this might not be the right choice if you have young children who are poor sleepers but, personally, I loved hearing the buzz of the pub below.

We were at an event in the area and this little place was in the perfect place. There was good off road parking and a very well presented property. The owner Jo greeted us and showed us to our first floor room. This place is spotless with a comfy bed and nice bathroom, there was even real coffee for you to use in the room, a welcome touch. The breakfasts are excellent and are freshly prepared for you at your chosen time. We wished we had been able to stay longer. Thanks

A comfortable and relaxing stay in Gloucestershire.

The welcome we received from Chris and Sue was warm and friendly. We had a surprise room upgrade as we were the only visitors staying at the time. Our room was very clean and tidy, the bed an absolute delight. Plenty of extra thoughtful additions should visitors require them, umbrellas, shower proof macs..etc. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, a full English cooked perfectly, porridge with a lovely array of fresh fruit, toast and tea or coffee. It’s a pleasure to recommend Blaisdon House.
