Amazing wedding experience at Dana Villas

Reviewed By emmah111

We were here for our wedding and booked the infinity pool suite for 4 nights, along with the grand villa, cave pool room and superior suite for our family which they all loved. Our room was amazing with infinity pool outside, cave pool inside, steam room and twin showers. All of our wedding party said they had never seen something like that before and loved it. Communication was done by whatsapp and the staff couldn't of been more attentive, never waiting more than 10minutes for things to arrive. Special mention to Kaylee and the turkish waiter (sorry forgot his name) who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The guys carry your suitcase from the road to your room, sometimes 1 on each shoulder and we had 4 heavy suitcases alone!! Breakfast is huge, so make sure your hungry when it comes. We chose to take ours in our room but you can also go down to the pool area. The wedding day was amazing, with Kostas and his team making sure we had everything that we asked for and that it all ran smoothly. Even making sure we had what we needed to carry on the party! Everyone is still talking about the view and how amazing the day was. In the evening they did provide blankets during dinner to anyone that needed them but once we were all up dancing everyone was fine! As part of our wedding package transportation was included along with champagne and strawberries in the room, private dinner and couples massage. The private dinner was lovely on the pool but unfortunately the weather was windy that day but the staff provided blankets and helped us move inside after taking beautiful sunset photos. The massage was great and just what we needed after a busy few days, my husband actually fell asleep. We can't thank everyone enough for making our stay everything that we could of wished for and look forward to returning in the future.

Blue Dolphins Apartments & Suites

Blue Dolphins is situated in the village of Firostefani, which is a 10 minute walk from the capital village of Fira (through a beautiful pedestrian path on the caldera). We have the privilege of being at a magical location in terms of view and peace of scenery, but also close to the restaurants, bars and nightlife of Fira, the capital of Santorini. Blue Dolphins is also connected to the picturesque village of Imerovigli which is also just a 10 minute walk through a pedestrian path on the caldera.

Best place to be!

We had a wonderfull time at the Blue Delphin. There are probably more luxury places to find there, with a Pool or so, but we did not mis that for a second. The room was great , the view amazing, super breakfast, and above all, what made uns feel sooooo good there was the extrem good service from the whole team. But we have to mention Nikki and Rulla, who are doing everything for you and make you feel at home. Big kisses from us, Monika and Gerrit

Villa Ilias Caldera Hotel

The location of Villa Ilias, perched 1,000 Ft above sea level, is one of the key benefits of this hotel. Those that choose to stay here are afforded breathtaking views that are unique only to Villa Ilias. More than a great location though, what distinguishes Villa Ilias from other hotels is our desire to see our guests as friends; friends who we would love to share our famous Greek hospitality with.

I feel terrible that I did not submit a review earlier, as my wife and I absolutely loved this hotel. I don't think I can add much more than has been said by others: the views were incredible, the food at breakfast was amazing, the staff is terrific, and the rooms were impeccably clean. Yiorgos and Katerina will make you feel like family during your stay!

Top Notch Accommodations, Service, and Views

Reviewed By BTaylorFL

We stayed at the Belvedere Suites in May 2022. Admittedly, we booked a run of the house room, so we were not sure what to expect. First, the staff was wonderful. The front desk was very helpful and replied to many emails I sent before we arrived. Each and every member of the staff helped make our stay really special - from the luggage carriers to the servers by the pool. Next, the room itself was huge, smelled great, clean, and unique. I loved how we were essentially in a mountain cave. The beds were comfortable and the a/c kept us nice and cool. Finally, the best part of the hotel was the view and the easy walk to Fira. The views of the caldera and Imerovigli are dramatic and stunning. We had breakfast by the pool (very delicious) each morning and gazed at the scenery. Santorini is busy and full of tourists, but for good reason. Santorini is unlike anywhere I have ever been and the Belvedere Suites greatly enhanced our experience.

Good for Single Femail Travellers

4 Day Stay 13-17 May 2022 - As I a single female traveller to Santorini, the hotel and surrounding area was safe and the Island was easy accessible. The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable and offers lovely views of the island. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I had breakfast daily at the hotel and it offers variety. The hot food selection changes daily. We still had to wear a mask in the breakfast room when collecting food, but as for the rest of the hotel and island, there were no restriction accept when visiting the churches. Safe in room that is complimentary. Excellent Wi-Fi, was accessible throughout the hotel. Serve great cocktails at the pool. Location of the hotel is walking distance to Fira, for the main shopping and if you keen on the Fira to Oia trial walk it is 10km and takes about 2.5-3.5 hours depending on your pace. Taxi back to hotel from Oia was euro 35.00 Opposite the front of the Hotel is a parking area on the hill , offers fantastic views of the sunset. Hotel arranged taxi service to go to the beach of Perivolos, which is one of the lovely black sand beaches. The Blue Sky Travel taxi services was brilliant and you can do everything via WhatsApp. Return cost 70.00 euro. Average fair costs is about 35.00 euros around the Island. Recommendable Restaurant Mama Thira with beautiful views overlooking Santorini or a bit off the main hub with also different views of the Island and great food is Romantica. Would definitely return to hotel

DO NOT pre-pay for this hotel!

Reviewed By waynebZ1619YL

We pre-paid for a room with a balcony with a sea view. When we arrived, we first were given a lecture before check-in, "This is a private hotel..(which hotels aren't?) and we have strict rules.. here are our rules..." We thought, OK, this hotel has seen some legal action maybe, or they are just kinda weird and unwelcoming, but OK. Then when they showed us to our 'ocean-front room with private balcony' it was just a table in front of a room that sits on the pool deck with all the other guests in front of you sun bathing, like RIGHT in front of you!. We asked for a more private and less invasive space that we wont have to share with ALL the other guests. We were told to "read the fine print that this ocean front balcony has pool views" We all know what pool views means, it doesn't mean you door opens onto the pool deck with everyone at the hotel in front of your door and 'private balcony'. We would have to walk around the sunbathers to get that 'ocean view'. Because we pre-paid we were screwed out of our privacy. DO NOT PRE-PAY for this hotel, even if it is the last hotel in Santorini! By the way, almost all hotels in Santorini have breathtaking views, the views here are not an exception. It is a grift.

Unanimous vote by family: Best hotel ever!

Family of six, four adult children and mom and dad. We rented the private villa, which is three bedroom, three bath. We had that for two nights, then went to the House of Winds and House of Portrait suites for one night b/c the villa was booked. If I had a nickel for every time one of us said, "This place is incredible," it would have paid for the trip. It was a constant marvel by all. Not just the view, but the whole resort space from rooms to common areas. And it is perfectly located. Let me start with George, the owner/manager: I overheard one son on the phone to his girlfriend in the States saying, "George is the nicest guy in Greece, you would not believe how nice." True! George's wife, Eleni, is a gem, she was prompt and informative in all my (many) emails booking and preparing for the trip. And that was just the start. The rooms are incredible, the artwork insanely cool and the food sublime. Steps from restaurants. Spot on view of sunset over caldera every night. BUT, the best part was the family vibe we got from George and the staff. We have travelled a lot, and you can tell when someone is trying to be nice for appearances sake. Here, George is the REAL DEAL this guy genuinely loves having guests and does treat you like royalty. George's unfailingly sunny demeanor and offers to assist were just above and beyond. Let me speak to the price, which is more than other options in Santorini. Highly recommend you look at all you get at Tsitouras: Includes transfers, includes breakfast (and it was not the skimpy serve yourself stuff you see in Europe), includes water, beer in room. Run the numbers, you will find Tsitouras is the not a bad value stay. PLUS, the staff handles your bags. Take a look at Santorini, it is all steps and hills. Not easy to carry bags down steep staircases with no handrails. Finally, tip to anyone looking for a romantic, cave-type experience. Walking around Santorini you see a lot of rooms with hot tubs. The Tsitouras has a gorgeous pool up and away from the walking path. We saw a lot of jacuzzis at other hotels butting right up on the walking path. Made us glad for the quiet and privacy of Tsitouras.

A lovely weeks break at Cliff Side Suites

Reviewed By LindyA44

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Cliff Side Suites in Firostefani. We had a lovely time and we would like to extend our thanks to the manageress, reception staff, house keeping and porters for making our stay a memorable one. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We moved rooms as we were not happy with the original room we were given, only because we wanted a little more privacy, to a much bigger room which also had a plunge pool on the terrace outside. It was much appreciated :) There was a good enough selection of hot and cold food at breakfast and the breakfast area offered a beautiful view towards Thirassia. Our room contained a hairdryer, fridge, dehumidifier, dressing gowns, complimentary toiletries, t.v and safe. The room was cleaned daily and towels were also changed daily. You have a selection of restaurants and shops right outside the hotel or you can take a 10/15 minute walk into Thira. We would recommend the Vanilla Restaurant for a good selection of food at a decent price and also Chantico New Age Street Food - both on your doorstep. We hired a car for a couple of days and it was all arranged by reception staff. They can also arrange a selection of excursions for you. If we return to Santorini, we wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Thank you so much, Paul & Linda :)

Beautiful view.

These vacation we spent 2 weeks in this hotel. It's small, about 12 rooms on 3 levels. Location is very good because is in the center of Firostefani (3-4 floors below main street). We didn't had any pavement across our hotel. The hotel hasn't the pool but we could use it in another one where was reception. Walking to the Fira lasts about 20 min. (down to Fira and up from Fira) with beautiful sea views. Hotel has 3 levels with terrace but terrace isn't private, it's shared with others room on one level. The breakfasts were everyday the same but on the terrace -what time you want. The room was very big (even in the room were two steps to the bed but thanks to this lying on the bed you can see the sea). Two weeks it's very long for Santorini then we rented a scooter 28 euro per day (10 days). The traffic was heavy because it was a lot of people in August. It was high season. The best beach for us was in Perivolos, less people. Sunbeds and umbrellas sometimes cost 10 euro sometimes you had to eat sth. And our discovery- taverna The Dolphins in Akrotiri almost in the sea like in Ammoudi Bay.
