Reviewed By Cosmopolitan431317I recently spent the night at Newditch farm prior to going on holiday and we parked our car there while we were away. The accommodation was excellent, very homely and comfortable beds. The owner took us very efficiently to the airport for our flight and was waiting to take us back to our car on our arrival. A first class service wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family and would definitely stay there again, thanks Howard

Reviewed By ashleyjdaviesWould recommend this place to anyone. It’s a stones throw from Bristol airport but even so it’s surprisingly quiet, didn’t hear many planes taking off. Everything you need is in the room. The minibar is fully stocked and continental breakfast is left for you too. They do ask you to pay a contribution to anything you take in the mini bar but still really good service I thought. The reception and shuttle bus is 24 hours so no worries about not getting to the airport on time. Room has towels, tv, iron.. only thing is there is no spare blanket for the pull out bed

Reviewed By Philip CHaving stayed at Forge before and was satisfied with service, so when i found Forge full, decided to try their overflow part Hillcrest Farm as it looked OK in advert! You have to checkin at Forge. 1st problem finding parking space until receptionist can take you to Hillcrest Not easy. Although Hillcrest is within 1 mile, that is as the crow flies! You are taken OK, but round roads and through a village to Hillcrest onto a plateau (2miles+). The advert photo shows a farrmhouse? This is not it! The small single story building between the houses is it. The entrance was obscured by a large mobile home so you had to proceed round the back of this. There were 3 apartments in this small building. It was very small with little place for clothes etc. The TV did not pickup any signals. The bathroom fan was so noisy the light could not be used. The bed was small and uncomfortable. There was very little space to 'swing a cat' Parking was shown down the alley between the houses. It was full so you had to park away from apartment on the plateau. Now I come to the worst bit! This plateau is under the flightpath of the planes so you could not sleep until flights had finished and again after they started in morning! It would have been just as good to sleep in your car somewhere else! In the morning you then had to take your car back to Forge and try to find parking spot to leave it -difficult! It was then parked by them in some sort of field as it was returned covered completely in mud! I would never use Hillcrest Farm again.

Awful staff
Reviewed By Welsh_traveller1965Cheap but not cheerful. Second time booked with them. Arrived 30 mins earlier than planned. Rang from terminal after clearing customs. Told bus was there and driver told we were coming. Got to car park 1 minute later to see minibus leaving and had to wait 20 mins in freezing cold for him to drive back. Arrived at car park to be told car was "behind office". Couldn't find it and when asked for help staff felt the need to swear. Service with a sneer. I won't be back.

Reviewed By SheffieldBelleThe only issue with the George and Dragon it can be costly if you don't drive When prior to booking we google mapped it and it gave us a walking distance of around 25 minutes to the airport which was fine It failed to mention you would be walking at least for 10 of those minutes down a country road without a pavement or path to speak of A bit of a bugger when you have two suitcases and not sure just how busy that road would be It was to late to cancel the booking by the time we'd figured it out and a hotel in Bristol on a Saturday night costs an arm and a leg We took a taxi from Templemeads station costing £30 then booked Arrow taxi's for the next morning to the airport for a further £17 for a five minute drive but to be fair to Arrow that includes the dropping off fee at the terminal Anyway back to the George Its a lovely pub and the room was terrific The simple breakfast items were a nice touch I'd stay there again with hand luggage only x
