Great breakfast. Can't beat the price. The owner, kitchen staff, and waitress are always pleasant. A great little diner that keeps its regulars coming back and gaining new customers recommendations.

Went there last night with my wife and 2 other family members. First time there for us. We were warmly greeted and thankfully we had a reservation as it was packed. The atmosphere was great because of the lighting, crowd noise and nice background with an accordion player who never stopped...he was great. Service was great and we ordered the house wine which was good! We ordered a grilled calamari which had good taste but was a bit on the cold side. Dinner was the same. I had chicken Marsala which was OK but had too much sweetness. My wife ordered manicotti which was dry. She did inform the waitress who quickly replaced it with some gnocchi. I will admit they tried very hard to please but overall the food for the table was just average. That said, I would go again because the atmosphere was better than 75% of most restaurants..and we have been to lots over the years and around the world.

I took the advice of my friends Cary and Karen who reside in Essex and tried Mama's last night. Oh my goodness...a 5* restaurant in the small town of Essex....I was blown away. Mama, Angela Leone an accomplished Master Chef, does most if not all the cooking herself and from scratch and with loving attention to detail. The meal was terrific. Starting with the Navy Bean soup, fresh bread & butter, followed up by the salmon with Chef's pasta, and ending with the Tiramisu...everything was sheer perfection. It was a very diverse menu to please any and every diner's taste and at prices that won't put a large dent in your wallet or pocket book. A 10/10 culinary experience in my opinion.

Just a nice sunny day drive from Windsor out to North Ridge east of Essex. Drive in restaurant with car hop service or patio tables or in enclosure. Typical drive in food. We had a chicken burger a cheeseburger with onion rings and a Pepsi. Sat out in the sun at patio table and just enjoyed the day. Service is fast food is good and facilities are available. Always bring back old memories.

The Deluxe Restaurant is the best diner in Essex County. The eggs benedict are the best around hands down. This place has been a town icon for decades. Ryan the chef/ownwr has dinners on a Friday evening every few months featuring prime rib or another great meal. They sell out everytime. Staff are amazing. Bonnie has worked there for more than 30 years! She knows every single person who walks through the doors and greets everyone with a friendly hello. Essex wouldn't be the same without the Deluxe.

I was looking for another specific restaurant. The owner was very helpful with directions and she had a sense of humour too. The crowd eating there looked very happy indeed. It's just that we were destined for another place that night. I promised I would go back another time.

Justine and Laura did an excellent job tonight!
Laura had great recommendations and we loved all the food!
Our poutine was amazing followed by excellent burgers perfectly paired with local wines.
Justine was so professional when a gentleman at the bar was not behaving appropriately. We were very impressed by her ability to handle the situation calmly and safely!
We had a wonderful evening and we will be back again!

This was the last stop on our wine tasting tour. I wish we would have stopped elsewhere. Although the scenery was very beautiful, the staff seemed put out we were there at all. Stopped by mid afternoon for some of the best hand dipped ice cream we've ever tasted. Friendly owners, nice setting. Worth a short detour off Rt 3 for a treat. Vegetable stand coming soon.
