Don't be put off as the frontage of this restaurant looks a little dated, but the food and service are truly excellent! Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and served with tempura courgette and side of green beans, Lasagne was lovely and reminded me of how it tasted in Italy, not to be confused with your high street versions :). How else to end but Tiramisu, ice chilled Limoncello all accompanied by two very nice bottles of Orvieto and a bill under £150! Not bad for 4 of us. Will be returning for sure.

Ask is an Italian style restaurant in the centre of Abingdon in a great location. We came with a group and I personally thought the food to be average and uninspired and the service intermittent at best. The staff were friendly but simply not enough of them on a busy night. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that I will try next time I visit. Wine list no more than OK. Shame really as this could be a great place to eat.

There is a de-emphasis on pizza, -in the town centre concession with outdoor seating - as with the limited additional toppings on the pizza submenu which narrows the menu but bring a garlic vegan option which was well prepared with the crispy dough setting ip the toppings nicely

Saturday lunch, place wasn't very busy. We were three adults and two children. We ordered calamari and some olives for starters. They brought the calamari only, had to chase up the olives, which took a while. The main courses also took ages, and out of the three, one was completely wrong (another pasta dish) and the pizza which was supposed to have salami didn't have much (we were pretty much sure that it was another pizza as well, but not 100%). When we told the waitress she knew she had given us the wrong thing and there wasn't much apologies. Seeing as we had already waited one hour for this we said we would eat it. At the end, we went to pay and they had charged us for what we ordered (which was more expensive than what they'd given us!!!!). So basically, food is very late, wrong, and they tried to charge us extra!!
