My sib, being born in Lincolnshire and still living there (hence Yellow Belly), invited me to his local curry house. Never passing up the opportunity for a curry, I quickly agreed. Now the location is rather bizarre and on entering the restaurant, you are glad that you haven't just dropped a tab. Again bizarre but maybe for Lincolnshire, this is Asian flair and elan. Once you've accepted the strange reality you're now in and go with it, you realise that the clientele are perfectly at one and really enjoying it. I zenned out and ordered multiple starters and mains (all to shared family style). The food was cracking and the service friendly - food was cooked on demand (a very good thing) and so a wait was required. However popadoms and pickles filled the void. Definitely worth visiting if straying of the A1

After being recommended this restaurant we visited for the first time tonight. It was very quiet with only two other diners present. One of our dishes was a Chicken Tikka main course. It had very little flavour and was disappointing. When we were given a check back at the end if the meal we gave our observation and the waiter offered to make the meal again which seemed a bit pointless at this late stage. An earlier check back would have been welcome. There are nicer restaurants in the area.

La Royale Tandoori Restaurant

This is our local Indian restaurant. I must have eaten here fifty times. The food is always very good, sometimes excellent, and the menu has some different dishes. The problem however is the service. It seems to take longer every time we go. On Saturday it was over an hour before we got our starters, and another hour for the mains. The restaurant wasn't even full. From where I sat, I did observe bag after bag of takeaway being handed over the counter. La Royale needs to decide whether it is a restaurant or a takeaway as it doesn't seem to be able to handle both. I was tempted to call and order a takeaway for delivery to our table. By the way - it has a bring-your-own-drinks policy, which saves you money, but you need to know this before you set off as it it is miles from anywhere you can buy a bottle :)

Checking out the menu when we arrived the food prices seemed very reasonable, however, what we didn't realise was that prices were even better with a £9.95 deal (starter, main, rice and bread). It would be very difficult to find a better deal anywhere! The food was good and plentiful but the sevice was little slow. Never mind, the drinks flowed between courses!

Went here after getting a leaflet saying it was under new management. We have tried it before and didn't think it was very good.It is still the same staff just a different name.We thought we would give it another try, should have just not bothered. The food was rubbish. Insipid watery sauce with very little texture or flavour. I had a vegetarian curry. Thought there would be chunky veg, however, no peppers or mushrooms etc.As for the local sourced ingredients, stated on the new menu, yes, if it's your local supermarket frozen veg isle! That's all that was in the sauce. My partner had a meat curry and it was the same. The worse curry we have had. My advice, save your money, get a jar sauce from the supermarket, because it will be better, either that or go elsewhere.Overall seriously disappointed.
