We came across this restaurant on the way back to the Redfunnel Ferry. As we were short of time (30 mins), we thought it would be best to grab a take away. When we arrived at the restaurant we were warmly greeted by the manager, who offered (free drinks) and chatted with us while we waited for the food. He also spent a lot of time discussing the different dishes for the vegetarian and gluten-free guests amongst us. The food arrived within 5-10 mins and the manager kindly gave us complimentary wooden utensils and paper plates as he knew we were eating the food in transit. He also recommended we ate the food inside the waiting area of red funnel ferries as there were tables and chairs that we could use. This was a great tip and it became a very enjoyable and economical way of eating a meal. The food was extremely tasty and we managed to eat everything including the complimentary poppadoms and sauces/dips. We will definitely return if we visit the Isle of Wight again. However, the manager has given us details of his friend who has a restaurant near where we live in London and as he recommended it, we will definitely be eating there too. We eat a lot of Indian food both at home and out and the food at the Taste of India was some of the best we have had. Enjoy!Thanks a lot for providing us with your review. Recently visited.Complex menu, but most dishes looked the same! The waiters didnât even seem to know what was in the dishes! Dirty toilets and staff were not welcoming in anyway, even though we were a group and it was empty! Would suggest, trying somewhere else!

We placed an order for collection this evening as we had family visiting from the mainland. Weâve ordered from Spice Central before and never had any issues. Unfortunately, the Goan fish curry was missing so I called to ask if this could be delivered, which it couldnât as they donât do deliveries and I was told that there wasnât the staff to help us.I asked for a refund on the Goan curry but was refused and told to âcollect the money on Fridayâ. This was utterly ridiculous and I had to argue for my money back and they told me to come down and hung-up on me. When I got there, the kitchen staff brought me the missing dish and apologised, but then the person I spoke with on the phone said âno, not sorry as they want their money backâ.To make matters worse, he only handed me £10 which isnât the price of the curry and when giving me the money he then said âare you happy now?!â.The service I received was beyond disgusting, and Iâve never been treated like this before and I WILL make sure that everyone is aware of my experience. Iâm extremely disappointed...

This really is a gem, but if you want a glass of wine or beer with your curry then you need to take it with you. The restaurant will send a waiter to Sainsburyâs for you but this does take time.Food is very good, staff very friendly and accommodating.Traditional but tired decor but always busy and food speaks for itself.

Visit Tuesday night and have a lovely meal for £11.95Lovely food and can take your own Drink.You can have a starter , main Rice Or Narn bread.Good choice on Menu.After your meal take a lovely walk along Cowes Seafront especially reccomend on a lovely evening.
