It stands at the confluence of the River Severn and the River Avon, and also minor tributaries the Swilgate and Carrant Brook. It gives its name to the Borough of Tewkesbury, of which the town is the second largest settlement. It lies in the far north of the county, forming part of the border with Worcestershire.

Having been here numerous times over the years and experienced great service, brilliant food, and a lovely ambience, so disappointed to see that this has now become your standard below average Chinese takeaway. Food inedible ( chicken beyond rubbery ) and extremely poor, service disengaged and more interested in their deliveries, resulting in long periods of time between courses. Will not be returning ever again.

Travelled up from Cornwall to attend a trade show at NEC and stayed over in Tewkesbury. Had a couple of beers in town and had come prepared to have a takeaway back to our hotel. Well we walked 100 yards to nearest Chinese takeaway only to find in was closed for three weeks.Well next nearest was Hing Wah which was really busy and I thought all these local people can't be wrong. We ordered at the counter and waited 20 minutes before returning to our hotel.Sweet and sour chicken fried rice and chicken curry and fried rice. Now I'm counting calories at the moment but it was so good I just had to keep dipping in for more.These guys would be welcome in our home town of Newquay. 11/10. Outstanding.

Used the takeaway service many times when visited friends in Tewkesbury. Always advise del time and usually spot on. Not expensive at all and wide choice menu.

Note this is a takeaway only. No eat in is available.Over the last year I have been struggling to find a good Chinese and had almost given up. The intention originally was to have an Indian takeaway but due to the fact that they tend to open slightly later we decided to go for a Chinese takeaway and looked for one we had not been to before.While they have no website the menu can be viewed via images on their Facebook page and has most of the usual offerings. Being our first visit we stuck with our favourites so that we could measure fairly against other local Chinese restaurants.We ordered in the shop rather than via telephone. Once complete a numbered ticket is given to you and you then wait for it to be called.The seating in the waiting area is very uncomfortable and the room was on the cold side, but thankfully the wait was short. It did seem popular as in the short time we were there they had a high number of other customers.The food itself was tasty and not overly oily as can sometimes be the case. What stood out for us was the freshness of the taste and the amount of chicken in the dishes. Both were very good.Although a little outside the town centre, the extra drive is worth it as parking is very easy outside.
