Found this little gem quite by accident ... literally walked round the corner whilst looking at other menus ... and there it was. We decided to book in later after first checking there were vegetarian options for me as many other local restaurants hadn’t got any interesting options. Whilst this may not be the poshest restaurant on Lord street, I can assure you we received the warmest of welcomes and when ordering our food with a Chris I explained I was a fussy veggie because I cook a lot and he assured me I could have whatever veg I’d like in my pasta sauce. I was not disappointed... the food was lovely, full of fresh flavour and very generous portions. My Hubby was just as happy with his food choices. I can’t believe what we have just eaten was a mere £10 per head for 3 courses. Very enjoyable ... will be visiting again before the week is out

Visited here for the 1st time last night I had heard mixed reviews but was looking forward to trying it. 1st impressions good very warm feeling and staff welcoming. Got a drink straight away at the bar as our table wasn't ready nice large choice of drinks ok prices. Put us in a small round table which felt very squeezed on to with 3 people plus the condiments would of preferred a bigger table. Nice touch with the bag if popcorn, Great menu lots to choice from for all sorts of different tastes, starters came quite quickly but the mains were a bit of a wait but was fine. All food was well cooked and tasted great all in all a great success. Will return again soon. Hi BNLB,Thank you very much for leaving us such a positive review, we really appreciate all of your feedback and will take all of your points into account. We are so glad that you enjoyed your food and that the team made you feel well looked after during your visit.Hopefully we will see you again soon!Best wishes,Ellie

A bit of a gimmick for me. Lots of smoke in the restaurant given that the steak is served on a lava stone (so you can’t complain that the Chef didn’t cook it properly).GM told me meat comes from Texas (mighty long way in my book and not sure how fresh it really is) why can’t it be sourced locally? Farm to Plate?Staff need training in Customer Service. The Male server said and I quote “the cheesecake is Apple and it’s sxxt!” I asked was it appropriate to speak to a Customer like that. “ You’re the first person to complain you a mystery shopper or what?” I was aghast to the point I wrote into the General Manager Jake Middleton and still not heard back so it’s safe to say I won’t be returning. Absolutely appalled! Andy Novak allegedly the Owner of The Fire Pit take note good food and good service go hand in hand!Good afternoon,It was myself that you questioned about where the beef was from and I have since found out that I was misinformed with the information I passed on to you and I'm very sorry about this, all of our meat is locally sourced so hopefully this will help put your mind at rest about quality. In regards to having not yet heard back from us I was on holiday when you sent the letter in and my assistant did contact you and spoke through all the issues you raised which is why I didn't make further contact when I got back, If you have anything else you'd like to bring up please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected] Middleton
