I am very happy to be writing the first review for The Cat, which is my favourite local pub in my hometown!It has been through many changes and over the last year or so, the changes made by the two amazing landladies, have made it absolutely great for a night out/a day watching sport/a quick drink/etc!The atmosphere is friendly and fun!The bar staff are all great and are lovely regardless of the time you go in: night or day; weekend or weekday.Moire recently, I popped in midweek with my brother for a few drinks and it was just great - the beer garden even had a speaker close by, so we could hear the footie (Leeds and Derby)My gin and tonics were amazingly presented!I might be biased because I am a local and it has enabled my lovely father-in-law to have a social circle finally after many years of not having one since moving from Kent but I have introduced many friends to The Cat and they all agree that it is AMAZING!Get down there and share your photos and locals get reviewing!Hi KarenThank you for your glowing review. We visited today it was my first time here but my family had been here before. I was very impressed by the staff but a lady called Clair stood out to me , I think she may have been the manager if not she should be . Nothing was a problem for her she appeared to be well liked by what I guess where locals . She was ran off her but done it all with a smile on her face . The food was very nice . The place was well staffed I think I seen 5just behind the bar alone at one point . The place was clean and tidy emptyâs didnât sit on tables for long . Firstly no idea on the reviews complaining about food. The Halfway House is a proper pub and has never done hot food in my years of patronage. Often youâll find sandwiches on the bar provide for all customers free of charge though. Traditional. Good casks. Dog friendly. Period toilets. Huge beer garden out back. Friendly staff.

Visited here as I have done many times. Carvery served my James who was happy. Smiley and very attentive. Always receive excellent service here. The carvery was hot. Cooked and tasty. Everytime I come here, I am never once disappointed. The food is Delicious and it's great that the menu is regularly reviewed and new things are put on here. Also for anyone who loves desserts (like me) all of their puddings are incredible!! Thank you also to the staff who are always so attentive and service is excellent. We attended on the night of 'wet the tea' and there was an Irish band playing! It was a brilliant night and too see so many people, and the different generations, up dancing and having a great time just made such a lovely evening!! Thank you again Bunbury staff!! Always an absolute pleasure!

Myself and my husband visited The Grace Arms for dinner and were very disappointed.The food is cheap so wasnât expecting the best.We ordered a burger with fries and some sides and at first everything looked great and it seemed really good value for money...that was until we started to eat our burgers.To say they were cremated would be an understatement.As I said...we didnât go expecting the earth but a burger you could eat without the aid of a blow torch would have been good. It canât be that difficult can it??A real shame as the meal would have been thoroughly enjoyable. Us staff at the Grace Arms would like to apologize for the experience you had with the food yesterday. This is not the standard of food we aim for here at the Grace Arms. We would love for you to give us another try in the future.

Called into the Stanney Oaks Harvester after a visit to nearby Cheshire Oaks retail park.Only had a cold drink here. There is a good selection of beers, spirits and wine and the large bar area, which is adjacent to the dining area, was clean and tidy.A pint of San Miguel, Pinot Grigio spritzer and Nobbts dry roasted nuts came to just over £8 so good value for money.Thank you for your positive review

Six of us had a meal tonight and it was all excellent, we were all served our food within a two minute period, good considering that we had a variety of cooked dishes and we are not talking of a kitchen with multiple chefs.After our pre dinner drinks we ordered some red wine, we took the recommended Malbec which was excellent.OK now service, perfect, attentive but not pushy. Really perfect.I very much recommend this pub for a couples or more friends dinner, try it, it's worth it.

My dear sister recently watched a documentary on independent television called The Real Housewives Of Cheshire, a gritty, no nonsense portrayal of life in the North-West of England. As a contrast to Islington she was keen to see such deprivation for herself so we asked Baker to fire up the Daimler and headed up the M1. It was as bad as we feared with men seemingly unable to afford warm coats on what was a cold autumn night and the women dressed in rags: I don't think I saw a pair of jeans that wasn't practically in tatters all evening. We obviously needed an escape from this poverty and whilst driving round spotted The Cheshire Yeoman. The establishment is divided into a dining area and a bar area with the two being strictly divided along gender lines: ladies in the dining area and the men drinking in the bar. Having settled ourselves at a vacant table a friendly lady provided us with menus. Everything on offer looked inviting and it was difficult to choose. Our meals didn't take too long to arrive and were well presented. The food was good but could have been better with my dear sister's beef being a little dry, but the excellent service easily compensated for this. In the meantime Baker had finished a well kept pint of beer and a packet of crisps in the car park. Our journey back to the comforts of the capital passed without incident.

Visited here for lunch. All the charms of a little country pub. Food was really delicious. Donna the owner could not of been more helpful. Lots of choice on the menu with daily specials. Food reasonably priced and good choice of ales.
