Wellingborough is a market town and borough in Northamptonshire, England, situated about 11 miles (18 km) from the county town of Northampton. The town is situated on the north side of the River Nene, most of the older town is sited on the flanks of the hills above the river's current flood plain. Due to frequent flooding by the River Nene, the town was mostly built above the current level of the flood plain. Originally named "Wendelingburgh", the settlement was established in the Saxon period and is mentioned in the Domesday Book under the name of "Wendelburie". The town was granted a royal market charter in 1201, by King John of England.

Visited here numerous times since opening and haven't been disappointed yet! Food is gorgeous. Fresh and cooked perfectly. Very good portions as well. Love the singapore noodles and chicken in black bean sauce. Will most likely visit again this weekend! Has most definitely taken the spot of best Chinese in Wellingborough

The fish and chips that used to be here before I loved for so many years, so walking to it one day I realised it had completely changed, and I was so shocked!! But I'm so glad I gave them a chance, the fish is amazing - chips are cooked to perfection and the curry sauce is fantasico! So many different things to try including a Chinese menu. I've tried some of the stuff on there, genuinely delicious! So come down to the Rock & WOW for an amazing experience and humorous customer service. Been a few times at lunch but have now been in the evening and weâre not disappointed to say the least. Fantastic choice and excellent hot tasting food. The sweet/pudding choices were superb and more than enough for anyone. At just over £15, youâre not robbed.

Been here quite a few times as its local. I have never had a meal that I didnt like and it's always been hot when I got it home. The staff have always been pleasant. For the money it's good value but I personally would like to see something on the menu that was a bit different to give it that this is great factor.

i ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, and singapore fried rice with curry sauce... food was excellent and tasted great.. good portions, and reasonable price. i don't live in wellingborough, but next time i'm there, i'm definitely calling in.

Great takeaway, fantastic food, great value. Fast and effiecent service. Make sure you ring order in though as a very popular takeaway. Always get free prawn crackers when the order goes over certain price.

I went to this restaurant whilst visiting friends who live in Wellingborough. How lucky they are to have a place like this. Top quality ingredients, well prepared and served by extremely competent, friendly and attentive staff. (I didn't even have to pour my own wine whilst eating - that doesn't happen very often, these days!) Not necessarily the cheapest of restaurants but worth every penny! A service charge is automatically added to the bill but you are well warned and it is well deserved. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and some even lined up to wish us farewell at the end of our evening. Not only the best Chinese restaurant I have visited but I would rank it in the top 5 of any I have been in!
