England, United Kingdom Food Guide: 10 Bar food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Liverpool

October 4, 2019 Toi Mattera

Reviews on Bar food in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. Liverpool's fortunes have historically been tied to shipping. But imports and exports like sugar, spice and tobacco pale in comparison with Liverpool's most famous export of all—the Beatles. Relive the hysteria at the Beatles Story Experience, and check out Paul's childhood home, but also leave time for exploring Liverpool Cathedral and the Walker Art Gallery.

Went for lunch with a friend, the restaurant is lovely and clean and has a really nice ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious and really well presented and the lady that served us was fabulous, the staff here are very attentive and second to none. We will definitely go again. I had cauliflower wings which were delicious and a halloumi kebab. My dessert was peanut butter jelly and vegan ice cream which was basically peanut butter and jam on toast with ice cream which was absolutely yummy and very filling. They also have a great selection of drinks.HI Mariewarrington007Thank you so much for your amazing comments. It looks like you had a great time on your visit to the Club House.I will certainly pass on your comments to the teams to let them know how lovely your experience was.I must say I have to agree the cauliflower wings are fantastic!!! How amazing is the Vegan ice cream by the way, sorry the peanut butter sandwich is a personal favourite of mine!!!Have a lovely week and hopefully see you again soon.CheersLeigh

My husband and I have been here quite regularly since we moved around the corner. Every time the staff have been lovely and very attentive. We have been here for just drinks and and for food. The cauliflower is possibly the best dish I have ever had, gives Maray on Bold Street a run for it's money! The roast dinners are something special too. Must go on one of the nights they have live music next!

Walking back to the car park we came across “Clockworks” in Wolstenholme Square, originally we popped in for a quick sandwich intending to have a roast dinner much later, but when we saw and smelt their roast we couldn’t resist. The dinner is way to big for mum and I so we asked the very friendly staff if it would be ok if we shared, not a problem, neither was mixing a concoction of Fruit to make me a soft drink. Nothing was a problem, they lived up to the saying the customer is always right. They greeted us as soon as we walked through the door as if we were old friends. Chatting with us while taking our orders and made us feel like they were sorry to see us go. The roast beef slices were massive and very tasty, the red wine gravy was delish so were the honey glazed carrots (how do they get them like that!) the roasties were crisp outside and fluffy inside, I let mum have the rest of the veg as I am not a veg person. Yorkshire pud was massive and crispy. All in all we had a lovely roast beef lunch. Saved the sandwich for later. The bar itself was very cosy and relaxed, a mix of families older and younger couples, shoppers and tourists. I would defo recommend, I might give a Friday night a go too as they have live bands playing.
