Reviewed By Gene R JMy wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at 2 PM and parking in front. Check in was quick with the English speaking receptionist; copy passports, issue the key card and pay later on checkout. We took the lone elevator to the 1st floor. Corner room #101 was tile floored, spacious and a modern design with a wardrobe, outfitted bathroom with a shower stall and fast hot water, a reefer unit with a small TV with excellent reception of many international channels(only BBC, Super 8 movies & Open Beyond shows in English), luxurious curtained king and a desk with chair. Insulated French doors opened to a balcony(table and 2 chairs) with a beautiful view over the port & bay. The secure room WIFI was good, the central AC/heat was not needed in mid April and a very quiet night’s sleep. The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet was hygienically served and excellent with hot sunny side eggs/hard boiled, hot/cold meats, cheese, cereals, fresh fruit, OJ, breads/baked goods and a coffee machine. This new 18 room hotel is perched on a ridge above Katakolo with outstanding views of the bay on one side and the sea on the other.

Great accommodation for a short visit to the area
Reviewed By Stoke24Stayed at Leonidaion for 2 nights with my partner in September. It's in a great location, just minutes away from the archaeological site of Olympia. The accommodation was very good, modern and stylish, rather like our host Damiano himself, who was great fun! Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed an evening meal at Orestis next door. All very good!

Reviewed By yotamazStuff is really friendly here always eager to help. The room is a bit small but really clean. I felt secure to stay here despite covid. Everyday we have clean towels and sheets. The bed is vey big. There are plenty of plugs. There is always someone at the reception 24/7. And the room is at a very good price too.

Althea apartments is a 3 star, family run hotel at the side of Katakolo. Our hotel is brand new and has 16 studios (accommodates 1-3 people) and 4 maisonettes (accommodates 4-5 people) to offer. The studios and maisonettes are fully equipped, comfortable apartments, with big and roomy balconies, where you can enjoy the relaxing view of the sea and the sky.

Reviewed By H4460BT_We stayed in the hotel for 10 days with my husband and a two-year-old son, and it was the best experience ever! The service at the hotel was flawless, as well as was the room. We had a comfy baby crib, a well-equipped kitchen to prepare the meals, and the spacious balcony, where we could hang out after the baby fell asleep. There is a perfect beach for small children just 10 minutes away by foot and 2 minutes with the car. The owners of the hotel were really helpful and suggested many other great family-friendly beaches and playgrounds within the 10-20 minutes drive. We even didn't have time to check it all! So we will certainly be back! Thank you very much, Althea team!

Reviewed By Romane Cthe area was pretty cool because there were some bikes and a trampoline the hosts were really nice and the food was tasty there is a pool but we didnt go in it but there was a hole in the bathroom floor and we didnt have a lot of hot water but it we enjoyed it ! ??

The ground floor overlooks a beautiful garden. The apartments on the first floor have a nice view to the sea. Important all cars park under awnings. Breakfast amazing with homemade flavors daily and a low-profile chef controlling everything quietly. Luxurious restaurant ideal for dining at sunset. Flawless service everywhere. Generally a well-tuned set to enjoy a vacation without problems.

A very well run ship
Reviewed By HH2801Our stay in Katakolo was not planned but we realised that our itinerary was not achievable as it stood and so booked a night here so as to be early to Olympia. I read lots of reviews and chose the Arethousa for its location. The hotel stands on the Main Street and is noticeable by the beautiful flowers at the entrance. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our rooms, two twins, both spick and span and as comfortable as we would have wished. The public areas are charming, cosy and with a nautical theme. Finding a dinner venue is easy as everything is walkable from the hotel. Breakfast was as much as we wished. We felt that this hotel represented excellent value for money and all of this within 30 minutes drive of Olympia.

Reviewed By Mandy Mit’s not a hotel but more an offering of newly done up rooms. decent size, with tv, wifi, hairdryer, fridge. bathroom shower is a dip in the floor so can make the floor by the toilet wet. we had a lot of little flies in our bathroom. nice friendly and helpful owners. breakfast is fresh made for 5 euros. bread and jams, cheese nd ham toasties, plain omlette, greek yoghurt, fresh squeezed oj and coffee/tea. great value. at the top end of the main high street. could park in the side road. convenient. some noise from the main road
