Chichicastenango is not a place to go for fine dining.just to get a good satisfying meal is enough. There are other reasons why we're here. This restaurant is clean and attractively decorated. They serve breakfast,lunch and dinner. David had the Tinamit Special for lunch consisting of four meats,fried potatoes,salad,soup and tortillas, all for 75 quetzales. I had a mixed vegetable salad for 45 quetzales and a picador of papaya and pineapple. We left satisfied.

Our local guide dropped us here, and upstairs we went. Crowded restaurant on market day with ONLY tourists....didn't see a local here! Busy, unfriendly, large menu, but really not that great.Thought it was quite expensive - but then, it was market day...have to get the $ while you can.Really nothing special.

My large group of 12 had breakfast almost every morning at this lovely upstairs restaurant. We pre-ordered our breakfasts because we were a large group.Had something different each day - and they were all wonderful.(scrambled eggs, fruit plate, waffles, pancakes......)They have free WI-FI and on the day they forgot to bring the modem in, someone went home and got the device and brought it is......so we had our WI-FI.The best service and food.
