This is a lovely little hotel in an excellent location a few minutes walk from the sea. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. I booked a double room but we were upgraded to a family room which was like a small suite . There were two connecting rooms and a separate bathroom It is definitely somewhere I would be happy to return to

Everything about the brighton marina was 5 star, the hosts and staff were so friendly and helpful?...we were greeted by Ella on our arrival who couldn't have been nicer, so welcoming and friendly ? the room was absolutely spotless, the bed was super comfortable and huge. The room had a lovely side view of the sea...beautiful high ceiling with Victorian coving and features. Even tho it is self check in and no typical hotel reception, we still felt extremely well looked after, all the staff couldn't have been more helpful and were literally a phone call/email or message away. It is very clear the heart and passion that is put into running the hotel, We were not disappointed?. We are both vegan and Ella provided us with a list of great places to eat in and takeaway, we got deliveroo straight to the front door of the hotel couple times which was lovely and very prompt friendly service ? The comnunal kitchen has modern appliances with coffee/ teas and a lovely area to sit in. It is literally 2 mins to the sea front, brighton is a fantastic city to visit, full of diversity, vegan friendly options, fantastic charity shops and many other great things. We will definitely be back and will be staying in the brighton marina. Thank you for making our stay so memorable ?

Relax and enjoy your stay with us here in our warm and friendly Guest-House offering wonderful accommodation in Kemptown, the most vibrant area for B&B in Brighton, our cosmopolitan city by the sea. Strawberry Fields has a fantastic location, sea views from the front and only a couple of minutes walk from The Pier and City Centre with the Conference centre just a short stroll along the seafront.
Not had the best stay. Lovely place but very rude night porter. Very intimidating man who made us feel rather uncomfortable upon arrival and then complained we were noisy ….just two of us non drinkers! When infact ot was the other party in the room next door that were making the noise. Threatened to call the police for no reason that he could explain and have us removed form the building. I would not return and would go back to using the usual holiday inn etc type establishment as I found customer service to be of a low standard here.

Occupying a classic Victorian building in the heart of Bexhill and just a “pebble’s throw” from the sea-front - the Driftwood features just 6 beautiful and eclectic bedrooms, thoughtfully designed with interesting and quirky furniture, wonderful mid-century style light fittings and bags of character. Each room is different, with its own distinct personality; but all feature a mixture of architectural treatments including rustic grey washed oak wall cladding, exposed character brickwork and traditional wall panelling in quirky heritage colours There is a wonderful honesty about the rooms with simple muted colours and a subtle blend of classic and contemporary design, making for a very cool and comfortable experience. Each room has a classic style, fully tiled en-suite bathroom with a generous walk in rain shower and simple traditional sanitary ware and fittings All rooms have high quality Hypnos mattresses and crisp white linen with stylish cushions and throws and also feature large bespoke headboards most with chesterfield style leather buttoning but one with a “driftwood” style grey washed oak version All rooms have a bespoke classic style wardrobe unit with built in tea and coffee station with retro style fridge and all rooms have a large wall mounted flat screen TV and a retro style clock radio and other accessories. The 2 larger sea view rooms also have a chesterfield sofa bed and a small café style table and chairs. Restaurant Situated on the ground floor behind a traditional style frontage which can open up in the warmer weather is the lovely 30 cover restaurant which has a laid back rustic “Brasserie style” with sanded timber flooring, exposed brickwork and rustic grey washed oak panelling and areas of feature tiled flooring, traditional style pendant and wall lighting with a nautical flavour completes the look. Deep buttoned leather banquette seating, fully upholstered brasserie style chairs and bespoke grey washed solid oak tables combine to make a wonderful relaxed environment with real warmth and charm and with a distinctive and timeless quality that will appeal to all. The open kitchen at the back allows views of the talented kitchen team at work and the small dispense bar ensures that you have everything you need to enjoy your visit
The owners/staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything in the room was of a high standard, well designed and tasteful. The breakfast menu included both vegetarian and vegan options, not many British hotels offer that! The Driftwood is located a short walk from the seafront and the De La Warr pavilion. Very convenient. Several restaurants, cafes and bars close by. This was an excellent choice for our stay in Bexhill.

Stayed for one night as going to a concert in Brighton. It is within walking distance to everything. Everything at the hotel was perfect. Checking in very easy. We were upgraded to a larger room. Everywhere is very clean. The bedding and towels were good quality. The room is nicely decorated. There was tea and coffee facilities with quality products. (Including Kit Kat and Amaretto biscuits. ) A nice bathroom also with quality products. The room has plug points and laptop points, hairdryer, kettle, coffee machine and small fridge., Tv, large wardrobe. The owner texted me on arrival you check we were happy and offer any assistance. We had a full English breakfast, it was excellent but also have other choice available. The staff are very friendly and checked everything was ok several times. I could not fault anything and would book this again and recommend to friends.

Traditional 19th-century pub and Inn, near Lewes and Hailsham. Home cooked food and range of cask beers. A22 gives access to Eastbourne. Near to Glyndebourne opera and the South Downs. Originally two blacksmith's cottages, it is first registered as an alehouse in 1881. You are assured of a warm welcome from Mark and Hayley at this friendly East Sussex pub.
We are staying locally for business and the Blacksmith Arms was 2 minutes down the road. It is a bit of a 'spit and sawdust' pub, but the staff are ever so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The food is also amazing beautifully cooked, nicley presented and some nice vegan options. It is very well priced so really good vakue for money! Well worth a visit for the food and friendly staff...

The Ship is in central Rye, at the bottom of Mermaid Street. Built in 1592, it was originally a warehouse to store contraband seized from smugglers. It is now a characterful pub, with beams, wooden floors & log fires. Open from eleven every day for freshly prepared food, local fish, Bloody Marys, real ales & organic cider. 10 comfy modern rooms (four of which are dog-friendly) - all with en-suite bath or shower. Children, dogs are especially welcome.
Booked an evening meal at this cosy little town pub for my wife's 60th. We had a superb meal, great food and the service was excellent from the friendly staff. Great menu choice too, especially seafood. Lovely atmosphere and superb beer, the Cellarhead highly recommended! Can't wait to visit again!
